I posted a few days ago getting advice on what to wear to DH's work holiday party. Many people suggested a dress, and actually after I posted, DH talked to his supervisor asking about how people normally dress for this and if dress pants (for him) would be too dressy (at work, everyone wears jeans and polos), and his supervisor said no, dress pants would be perfect and that the holiday party tends to be on the dressier side.
So tonight, I bought this dress:
(it's black with a really dark green pattern). I also bought this completer piece just in case it's really cold in the venue:
It's got a sheen/bit of sparkle to it in person.
Anyway, would you do a necklace, and if so, what color? I worry that black would just get lost in the pattern. If no necklace, big earrings? Black?
That dress is really pretty!! I would probably skip a necklace and do some fun statement earrings. Maybe a simple bracelet and a fun right hand ring if you really want to go all out

Agreed with this! Love that dress, and I would definitely do statement earrings, bracelet and rings to dress it up :-)
I'd do statement earrings and a bracelet. That neckline plus the cold shoulder plus maybe a jacket makes a necklace hard to make work. Those wreath ones are cute and come in shades of black and gold, which I think would be great. Or big gold hoops.
