How many deep dish pizzas to feed 8 adults and 12 little kids?
We’ll also have salad and Italian beef, but the pizza’s the main thing. Like one pizza for every 2 adults? One pizza for three kids? Does that seem like too little pizza?
Way too much. I'd count on 2 pieces per person if you are serving other stuff too. Most people in my family will only have 1-2 slices, and 3 max. I can eat a lot but three is really pushing it, especially if you have beef and salad too. I think we would usually get 3 pizzas for about 10-11 people and there were always leftovers.
The good news is it reheats well so if you really aren't comfortable with the above, leftovers will be fine.
Eta: i would think most kids wouldnt eat more than 1 alice but would err in the side of a few extra slices just in case some of the older ones are bigger eaters.

We ordered Lou Malnati’s tonight - 1 medium for 4 adults. We each got 1.5 slices. Since we didn’t have other food with it, we probably could have had a little more than what we ordered. With the other food you have, I think 1 medium pizza per 4 adults and 1 medium pizza per 5 kids is probably good. So 5 medium pizzas, I would guess? If you want to guarantee leftovers, order 1 extra pizza or order larger pizzas.

So we ordered these on Gold Belly, they are amazing, but my H and I split 1 with no issue, 🤷♀️, there’s only one size offered on Gold Belly, it’s like 9” but we could have both had one more piece for sure! Maybe y’all can get bigger pizzas locally?
It was 12” - maybe that’s actually a large? I assumed it was a medium because I had told my husband to order a medium.

I think their large pizzas have 8 slices. A 9 inch is probably a small? Idk.
My post was referring to a pizza with 8 slices, which are pretty big. If you order smaller pizzas definitely get more!
My tip is to get the large pizzas sliced in 12s instead of 8s. I never realized they did this until I ordered it for 60 people once and they offered. Now I always get it 12-sliced because a lot of people want more like 1.5 slices, or like to try a little of multiple types.
