If you have any interest in a backpack, the Dagne Dover large backpack holds my 17" laptop (barely). Out of my office of 45 people, 7 of us have this bag because it's so awesome.
Ok, I don't love the Knomo and will return it. Can you tell me more about this backpack - I hadn't really considered anything other than a tote - Do you think this is professional enough for meetings and such?
I think it depends on your industry. I carry mine to a lot of client meetings but I am in a creative field. I definitely think a neutral color would be more professional. One of the things I like about this bag is that the material holds its shape; it doesn’t turn into a blob when you set it on the ground if ykwim.

I realize I'm resurrecting a dead thread, but I've been searching to see what work bag recommendations everyone has posted in the past. Just curious - do you still love this backpack? With my office reopening in a hybrid model, I need a nice bag to carry my stuff back and forth from home to office but I have a giant 17 inch laptop so I'm struggling to find bags that will fit it. These neoprene backpacks are on sale right now and seem like a great choice.
twinmomma Yes, still love it! I mean, it’s just a backpack but my laptop is so cumbersome the thought of carrying it in a tote makes me want to cry. The backpack is sooo much easier and I can fit extra shoes, my lunch, a water bottle, and a small purse and still have my hands free (to carry more junk, let’s be honest).
