I cant keep track of who to tag, there are so many of you!
1) Yay for poop in the potty! That's huge!
2) Watch for meal time shenanigans. C kept saying he had to pee during meals (he did, but he wouldn't go) and so we got really lax about eating at the table, meal times, etc. Two years of meal training was done over a weekend. And yeah, he peed at the table. It was the only time he stopped moving.
3) Congratulations on making it through day 1. Have a glass of wine or five!
DS was a high chair for life kid which was awesome because meals were so much calmer. Until we potty trained and he peed in the high chair twice and I had to move him to an easier to clean booster. 😞 thankfully the peeing at the table only lasted a few days but now he needs to pee during dinner ever damn night and it’s so obnoxious.
We went back to a diaper this morning because DD woke up with a really bad rash. She must’ve had an early poop last night (and she doesn’t wake up for a dirty/wet diaper). We had to load her up with Desitin.
She’s finishing up her nap soon so we may try the underwear again when she gets up.
We had one success today, of course when I wasn't home. Apparently DD told H, "you lay down take a nap on the couch I'm go pee in the potty". He did what he was told, & she upheld her end of the bargain.
We had only 1 (kind of) success today. C starting peeing and then ran to the potty and got about 20% of it in the actual potty. It has been the longest weekend ever.
Overall, we are doing pretty well. I shouldn’t complain. But this is hard. C had had all but one poop in the potty (she has pooped 5 times in 2 says 😲). Has only peed her pants twice, but one was when she fell over and was startled.
J is struggling more. Hard to get to the potty before she is peeing. Won’t poop in potty. Tried the play doh trick 🤷🏻♀️
I just decided to not night train at the same time. I can’t deal.
konapoppy, we're not night training at this point either. DD's overnight diapers are SO heavy by morning, there's just no way she'll be dry overnight anytime soon.
I put a diaper on DD for bedtime and within 5 minutes she winced and grabbed at herself saying she needed the potty. Went to check and she’d pooped - prior to potty training she never even made a face when she was pooping so I guess she’s becoming more aware. Changed her, she went to play a bit more, then a while later said she needed the potty again ... took her in the bathroom and she peed in the potty.
We can’t get too excited when she goes, though, because she gets bashful, lol. She likes when we whisper “yay good job!”
Hoping tomorrow goes well. I should email daycare tomorrow and ask how they want us to handle sending her in. I bought a package of pull ups which we haven’t opened yet. I’m a bit nervous for DD because the daycare bathroom is way down the hall, and our home bathroom is easily within reach of any room so it’s a short trip.
mbcdefg progress! And lol at being bashful. We FaceTimed my parents and the girls were telling them about every single success they have had and how they clean out the potty. They were down right bragging 😂😂😂

Tried the 3 day method at 25 months and it was a disaster because she would just hold it so we bailed on the second day,it wasn’t worth it. After that I just let her run around naked (this was in the summer so easy) but never talked about the potty. Then a month later we went on vacation and she spent a lot of time naked and one da she said she had to go potty so I gave her the choice of potty or diaper and she chose potty. And that was pretty much it. She just doesn’t like to be pushed.
So we PT'd DS in mid Sept. He's great at pee, but poops in his underwear or nighttime/nap diaper 95% of the time. Sunday his cousin pooped in the potty so I told him and yesterday he declared "I'm going to poop in the potty today like cousin" and then he did. So today before school I asked him if he's going to do it again and he declared "No--I pooped in the potty yesterday". WTF?!?! At this point I think I can conclude it's not physical and purely behavioral, right?
ETA: It did take him 3 separate tries to finally poop, but he seemed to know what he was doing once he finally went.

Glad you’re making some progress! My boys have very different personalities so I think we’ll have to adjust our methods/expectations for each of them when we start. I have a feeling Twin B will be easier than Twin A lol.
I’m not planning on night training right off the bat either lol
Any tips for getting a kid to go in a bathroom that’s not yours?
DD pees at home really well, but hasn’t yet gone at daycare. At all. They take her to the bathroom and she does nothing, or she says she doesn’t want to go. They keep putting her in diapers rather than pull ups as a result, which is pissing me off.
We went out for dinner tonight and I spent half the meal with DD in the fucking restaurant bathroom because she said she needed to go then decided when I sat her on the toilet that she didn’t want to go after all. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I’ve tried verbal encouragement, rewards, asking her specifically what’s bothering her ... nothing.
mbcdefg my baby wouldn’t use the bathroom at school because she didn’t like the toilet. Even though they have the kid sized toilets, she wanted more stability like she has with the insert/small potty chair. But I feel you on the immediately putting them in the diaper it drove me crazy.
Not sure if that’s the same situation though since you said you kid also won’t use it with you and I assume you’re using an insert, but throught I’d throw it out there!
At home we have the kiddie seat that is installed right on top of the regular seat.
At daycare there’s a little seat that sits on top of the regular toilet seat. Both MH and I had her sit on it cut she wouldn’t pee.
At the restaurant I layered the seat with toilet paper and sat her on it. She didn’t seem upset but just would not pee.
