Earlier in December I fell in a grocery store (there was a trail of liquid i had not noticed). There were two employees there, including a manager, and I thought i was fine. Honestly, i was just relieved that I went down towards my left and not the right where I had had knee surgery.
I told them I was ok. Later that day or the next i noticed i was sore in the tailbone area when I would go to sit or get up from sitting. i had not even realized i had fallen in a way to hurt that area. Fast
-forward to now, i am still experiencing a fair amount of discomfort sitting too long, getting up and sitting down. But, even if I go to a doctor, is there really anything they can do? I would think it would be like a bad bruise that just needs time.

If there is, I'd love to hear it.
In June of 2017 I sat on a folded-up yoga blanket the wrong way and messed up my tailbone. Nothing made it feel better but time.
Until that December, when I sat through 6 hours of Star Wars films. (Movie theater seats are especially difficult unless I make an effort to sit forward.) I must have reinjured it, because here we are in 2020 and it still hurts.
My doctor did recommend something that might seem weird or gross. I promise, he's not a perv!

I've had this issue since 2012, so I am definitely looking for suggestions. It started during my first pregnancy and it's never gone away (specifically the pain sitting for not even very long periods and the real pain of standing up afterwards-- like I have to brace myself sometimes).
I found these exercises to correct posture because I was sitting weird trying to avoid that, and they helped some, but only while actively doing it, ykwim? If I sat and forgot, pain. They didnt help correct anything long term.

I broke mine when I was on vacation in New Zealand in 2018. The plane ride home was very uncomfortable. I thought I'd just bruised it, but when I told my chiropractor about it, he did an x-ray and confirmed it was broken but was healing well so there was nothing more to be done. It took about 10 weeks for it to stop hurting all the time. It still hurts if I sit too long or on something hard. I've found relief by laying across something and letting my legs dangle to try to decompress.
There isn't really much you can do. However, my chiropractor told me about the internal adjustment but said he didn't practice it. Thanks dude, I'll pass. I broke mine and it took well over a year for it to not hurt on a daily basis. I'm sorry

Ugh. These stories don't give me hope. Lol
I fell backward off the 2 steps of my deck in June - I was crouching down to pick a cucumber and got tangled up in the leg of my pants and went straight back and wasn't able to break my fall at all. I still have daily pain - especially after sitting for a long time and it sometimes takes my breath away when I go to stand up.
It took about a month to be able to sit without a pillow. I would say 6ish months to feel mostly normal. 2 years later, I still get occasional pain after sitting in a weird position or on a hard surface for too long, but TBH, I forgot about it until this post, lol.
I tried various treatments at the beginning and nothing really helped, except for good pain relieving drugs (which is obviously not a good long term plan). My pain would have to be pretty life-changing to consider any kind of butt hole adjustment, though.
I am 100% sure I broke mine 2 years ago after a hard fall. I could barely walk for a week, the whole area was black and blue and I was in really bad pain for about 2 months. It hurt me to sit down for a full year and I'd always have to try and put my weight on 1 cheek. After a full year, the daily pain disappeared and now it only gets sore from prolonged sitting or sometimes a random sore day. Hugs lady, it's the freakin worst!
But no, theres really nothing the doc can do except in some very severe cases actually remove your tailbone. I actually looked into and found that many people had no improvement in pain or even worsening pain after the surgery.

This, but it was 6 years ago. It’s a lot better now, but sometimes still hurts depending on how I Am sitting
