I’ve mentioned my coworker before who has stage 4 cancer. She has been in and out of the hospital for a few weeks now, and we want to send something to cheer her up. Suggestions requested.
She lives alone (but has friends/family nearby checking in), so meals aren’t ideal. Flowers are lame. We did spoonfulofcomfort.com (if you’re ever needing an idea for something in a similar circumstance, I HIGHLY recommend it. She loved it and when she was unexpectedly admitted to hospital during the delivery window for a perishable item, their customer service was phenomenal)
She’s currently on immunotherapy and having a terrible reaction. It kicked the shit out of her cancer, but she ended up having an immune disease that no one knew about, so she’s got a lot of skin sensitivity and swelling, so any kind of spa/fragrance/anything along those lines is out.
She has a daughter that means everything in the world to her that is with her every other week, a cat, and a dog, and loves trash/reality TV if that helps at all.
My sister is really into reality TV and her friend sent her a personalized message from one of the real housewives of New York for her birthday. If you have any idea who/what shows she’s into, that might be a fun mood booster?
The site is called Cameo and I think most of the short videos cost $99.
If she loves trash tv, does she have all of the subscription services? Netflix, Hulu, prime? Or a fire stick? If not, those are great gifts. I’ve done Prime for my dad and MIL for Christmas and they loved it.
What about gift cards to Chewy.com for her animals. Not having to worry about pet food or pet supplies is just one less thing she would need to worry about. Plus Chewy's customer service is amazing.
