Also, I used to get a lot of canker sores and then I learned that SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) in toothpaste can be a problem for some people. Ever since I switched to SLS free toothpaste, I only get canker sores if I injure my mouth like biting my lip or something. It’s like magic!

My deep thoughts lately have been about happiness and things that I'm passionate about. I don't feel passionate about anything, like causes or interests. DS and beau make me happy, but then I hate to think my happiness revolves around other people. I feel happier now than any time I can remember in my adult life, but I feel like I need to branch out and find a hobby or activity.
I get a canker sore smack in the middle of my upper lip when I’m super stressed. I have one now. It’s hideous. It needs to be gone like yesterday.
Both kids and I used to get horrible canker sores. I switched to the baking soda and peroxide toothpaste and it has been a miracle. We hardly ever get them. If I do feel one coming on, I brush my teeth more and it never really develops. My travel toothpaste was the regular kind when I was out of town. I felt one coming on, so I bought he baking soda kind, but couldn't find it in travel size. So I threw the entire tube out before boarding the plane, but I didn't get a sore.
mommyatty, I used to get multiple canker sores a month, and then I found out that chronic canker sores (more than 1 a month every month) can be a symptom of celiac's. Apparently 5% of folks who have chronic canker sores are undiagnosed celiac's. But now I've only had like one in the last year. Just a random thought if you have stomach issues.

Same. I mean I do have some causes I am passionate about, but I don't have a lot of time to volunteer for them. Most of my volunteering is more for Cub/ Girl Scouts/ DH coaching and there is one local charity we have done stuff for before.
My hobbies are things like reading and watching TV shows, so nothing that exciting. Another hobby is hair related, like one year I learned how to do all the braids. It's kind of fun but not exactly like a passion project. Not sure if this makes sense, my hobbies are just not that deep.

I've struggled with lack of excitement in my personal life, especially in 2019. I used to love obsessing about kids birthdays and other holidays- including planning parties and coordinated outfits, and vacation planning. Now I am not really into any of that, definitely not to the same extent. I've been filling my time with more mindless stuff away from work and given the stress at work, it has probably been a good thing. I am more at peace with it this year so far I think.
ilovelucyvv , it doesn't help here that we haven't seen the sun in seemingly weeks. When we do see it, it is bitter cold. January has lasted 3 months. I am trying to pack February full of fun stuff, so I am hoping it doesn't drag on like January.
We have been living in our house for 6.5 years. We set up the kitchen and it has remained the same since we moved in.
So why doesn’t my DH know where the dishes and utensils and etc GO?? Why do I keep finding things put away in totally random places?? Why can’t I find my cooking tools? Why aren’t they right next to the stove, where they live?? Why are spatulas across the kitchen in a knife drawer??
My brother is having crazy, unexpected back surgery next week. He lives in a second story walk up apartment with very steep stairs, so that does not seem safe with a fresh back surgery. He's not a small guy, so I don't see his fiancee being able to get him up and down the stairs easily by herself. Based on what his doctor says tomorrow, I am likely going to offer up my house as an option, since it's all on one floor. But that means I have to clean out my sewing room and get a bed in there ASAP. Do-able, but definitely a project I will have to tackle this weekend if it's happening. I live 5 minutes from his fiancee's job, he'd have the whole place to himself all day while I'm at work, and next week is my short week with the kids so it will be generally quiet there. I feel good about it as a solution, but we'll see if they take me up on it.
mae0111- same reason my DH doesn’t know where things like the blender go after 11.5 years in our house. I know you see the base when you put away other small appliances in the same cupboard so why won’t you put away the pieces of the blender in there? It’s so weird! See also the storage containers. These are all things that are used regularly! But, I hate putting dishes away so I’m not about to complain since 99% of the dishes are put away fine and I sure as hell don’t want to do it.
Also, I may have just organized a drawer in the kitchen and wrote in each little drawer compartment what goes in there. So one is for bag clips, one of for plastic reusable cutlery (that I don’t really know when we still have) and one has a handful of disposable cutlery. And if they get empty there’s a handy label at the bottom to tell the whole family what goes in there since otherwise no one will have any clue!
DD has just reached the "boys are cute" stage. So now I have to look up Descendants characters to understand what she considers "cute" and it's not what I would have thought. She's a big Carlos fan. Had to google that one. She thinks Jay is "talented" though based on whatever sport he plays.

Random - I took a big tote of clothes and toys to Once Upon A Child (consignment), and they actually bought most of it! I bought a few things for DD, but still walked out with $100, so it was definitely worth my hour of time on a Sunday afternoon!

covergirl82, wow good on you! I have never heard of anyone walking out with that much from a kids resale shop!!
Not the same thing, but for the longest time I never walked out of half price with more than 13 dollars no matter how much stuff we had, but recently we brought a bunch of kids books and ended up with like 35 bucks and I couldn't believe it.
