I truly don’t understand how Millennials went from OK Boomer to voting for a heart attack.
And I say that as a Millennial.
ALSO why didn’t MSNBC play Warren’s speech before Bernie’s? You recorded hers while Biden spoke, record Bernie while you play Warren. I want to go to bed, but I want to hear Warren.
That WSJ article is dated last week so they knew this app was shady. WTF.
Technology is great but I’m ready to go vote via horse and buggy and vote the old-fashioned way with paper. Or in those noisy voting booths where you pull the lever.
The lever voting booths are the best and I think the least possible to interfere with. They don’t need electricity, so if power goes out you can still vote. I’m paranoid with paper that ballots could “get lost” in liberal areas, but I’ve never worked at a polling site with paper ballots so I’m not sure on the process with that. They found boxes of uncounted ballots in Georgia, right? Were those only absentee ballots? I can’t remember if this actually happened or I’m jumbling details in my head.
Mayor Pete's campaign paid for the app along with Iowa and Nevada Democratic Party.
(Russia for fucks sake wtf)
Curious if this is your source?
Pete isn’t my candidate but this person tweets the exact amounts relating to Iowa and Nevada and no specific info about what Pete’s campaign allegedly paid. Just says they did.
That said, sourceless garbage is unwelcome here, so next time you have a claim you’ve heard, provide a source in the your original post. I don’t need this place to turn into the leftie version of Pizzagate reddit or wherever it is conspiracy theorists congregate to talk about what they “heard” and passing it off as fact.

So honest question. If ANYONE other than Sanders wins the election is rigged right? And of now, it is all Mayor Pete's fault? Just want to be clear on the conspiracy
Lee Fang is a reporter with the Intercept. Not sourceless.
YOUR ORIGINAL POST IS SOURCELESS GARBAGE. THIS ISNT HARD. THE POINT ISNT WHETHER HE IS RIGHT. IT IS THAT YOUR INITIAL POST ON THIS MATTER IS A STATEMENT OF FACT WITH NOTHING TO BACK IT UP WHEN YOU POSTED IT. If you want to be taken seriously, post your source with your statement of fact.
And in the post from that reporter - and I use that loosely because we are talking about the intercept - he initially says this group is “paid” by Iowa and Nevada and Mayor Pete’s campaign but only includes specific numbers for Iowa and Nevada, which is pretty shady. Since then he may have posted more info, Idk. I went to bed. But anyone who posts like that - with accusations including facts about some entities but not all - comes off as a shady fucking source because if you’re going to accuse, and you have specific info about two of the three entities, that you share, but not about the third - is framing that info in a VERY specific way. If you can’t see that, frankly you are beyond help and deserve all the criticism heaped upon you.
Also, it sounds like Shadow is some sort of app/software company that multiple entities have used. That doesn’t mean Mayor Pete paid Shadow for the app used last night which is how you framed your post. I’ll wait to make a judgment on what happened when the diseased hive mind dnc conspiracy is plotting to rig this against Bernie noise fades and the facts come out. Jesus Christ.
Frankly it sounds like we are going to find out that Bernie and Buttigieg did well and came in close together, Warren cane in behind them, and Biden sucked, Klobuchar was near him.
It’s Iowa ffs. It’s not even a lot of delegates. It’s not reflective of the D party.
Whooooooooo cares. This is going to be a long primary season. The problem is that Bernie supporters want Bernie declared the winner before anyone votes because they don’t understand why no one else wants him and it is on my last nerve. Anything that doesn’t fit their narrative of him being the best candidate ever is a conspiracy and rigged by the DNC. Sound familiar? There are a zillion other candidates at this point, get used to it.

So mayor pete is being ripped apart for giving a "victory" speech even though every other candidate (even Sanders) gave a similar speech. I hate them all.
I think the issue is reporting out three numbers. Some are not adding up so they are having to go back to original data sources to recount. By trying to be more transparent, it has become an ever bigger clusterfuck.
Also apparently there were only 12 people on phones receiving results last night? Results from 1,600 precincts.
Just an epic mess all around.
@@@@
I was up all night with a sick kid so I am well versed at this early hour on all the non-news lol.

Twitter hates Mayor Pete. I think we will find out Iowa doesn’t agree. He’s right that Iowa shocked everyone if it does end up him and Bernie at the top though. He was probably going to say this regardless. He’s a mayor from a tiny city in Indiana. He’s a married gay man. I think people are taking what he said a certain way (that he was declared the winner) and I think it’s dumb.
Also if I am one of the candidates I would be sooo pissed. They spent millions of dollars and FaceTime here. And for what? Controversy that will cover up any momentum. Now this is the story, by the time results are published people will have moved on. The mess invites conspiracy theories and chaos.

Yeah for sure.
I think it’s interesting turnout numbers seem on par with 2016 and not as high as 2008. It seems that was Bernie’s narrative that he was going to get super high turnout. It seems to have not played out that way.

Yes, that is what it looks like. I am surprised honestly. I think it also is a nod to how exhausting this caucus process has been. I think despite passion, it still turned people away. That is terrible for voter engagement.

Is it always on a goddamn Monday night? Becuse lord I’m hard pressed to do anything but sleep at 9pm on a Monday.

Oh it is 100% dumb. I legit hate the idea that if your candidate doesn't win the election has to be rigged. Its a dangerous theory. I hate it when Sanders said it, I hate when HRC said rigged (vs just Russian propaganda influence). There are certainly plenty of places that have rigged elections in the world but it is a dangerous statement to make w/out evidence to back it up.
I’m a millennial. I don’t even answer my phone unless it’s a number I know that might be an emergency. Otherwise I prefer text. Going to spend hours caucusing sounds like some sort of terrible torture. I’m not sure if I would do it even if guaranteed $5m and meeting Chris Evans.
The Intercept is garbage. My tinfoil hat theory is that Glenn Greenwald is on the Russian payroll because read literally anything he’s ever said. Also they don’t protect sources and Reality Winner is in prison. So fuck em.
Fucking Iowa Democratic Party really screwed this shit up.
This is bad for the Democratic party, this is bad for the candidates, this is bad for voters.
I'm pissed. You had 4 years of preparing for the supposedly most important job and you messed it up royally. Go home Iowa and think about what you did.
So a question about the caucus - if you work second shift (like, say a nurse that has to work 7 pm- 7 am, or evening janitor that starts at 5 or 6 pm), do you get to caucus somehow? Or are you just out of luck because your job doesn’t fit the hours you’re supposed to report to the local gymnasium?
