Had a really good class today. It was race day, so I bought us all matching wrist sweat bands (really, i can see why they were invented; they make complete sense just look dorky. lol). IT was a challenging ride, but everyone seemed to like it.
I can't get over how much Tarek El Moussa's girlfriend looks like Christina. It's crazy.
The first picture I was like "meh" and then the second I thought "I can see it" but by the third, I thought she WAS Christina, so that was kind of crazy. So, he clearly has a type
It's...odd. I mean, I think I have a type, but none of my boyfriends all looked the same. lol But, glad that they are all happy.
I pushed myself to go to the gym today even though my mood is terrible, and then I made the mistake of weighing myself. I've been working out for over a month now and... nothing.
calamity, are you drinking a lot of water? Have you measured yourself? Gotten a body scan for body fat percentage? Sometimes, those other things can change, but the scale won't. Stay in it!

I don't know who these people are, but if the ex-wife looks like the new gf, its probably because they both get too many fillers. The face of that gf is a face that has seen a needle more that a few times.

About 32 oz of water a day. Eating salad for lunch and my diet has cleaned up a lot. I don't feel like my clothes fit any different either.
I will say I feel better when I am working out, I have more energy and I sleep better. Maybe I need to join WW or something. I've been trying to make little adjustments but it doesn't seem to be helping. So frustrating!
Maybe I need to do more? I generally am working out anywhere from 3-5 days a week for about a half hour but I am really getting my HR up and I am mixing in weights. I seriously don't get it.

You should be drinking a lot more water than 32oz per day especially if you are working out. You are probably retaining water because you aren't drinking enough. For comparison, I drink of a minimum of 72oz just at work, that doesn't count what I drink at home in the evening because I don't track then. I think that the general formula is half your body weight in water. So for a 150lb female, that would be 75oz of water per day. Then you also should drink an add'tl 10oz for every 30 minutes that you work out.
Holy crap @sameoldstory , that's a lot of water. Ill never get any work done because I'll be peeing the whole day LOL
I drink 84-106 oz per day and I do have to pee every hour! But it's great because I get extra steps! Win-win.
Same. I have a 20oz blender bottle that I fill up 4-5 times a day and I have to pee almost every hour on the hour. It doubles as an excuse to get up from my desk throughout the day too.

You are at about half for what your water intake should be, especially given how much you are exercising. I would double your water intake and see what happens. I should be drinking around 2L a day and I am guessing should be about that for you too.

It is not all fillers. They definitely have some similarities in their structure, but yes, there are extras there too. lol
My 3 yo dd wanted to message her friend last night to tell him "I love you." I messaged his mom to tell him, and his mom said he said "I love her too." So sweet! Also, she calls him New Cole, and my bff's Cole, who she's known forever, is now Old Cole. Lol.
So sweet. I went to a wedding this past weekend out of town, and one of the groom's (current? former? It was never clear) coworkers is named Justin. My BFF's husband is named Justin and we were all at the wedding together, so my BFF's husband is now Old Justin, and this cool dude we met is New Justin. It's pretty funny.
namasteak, I think you look GREAT! I'm having a problem right now w/ Loft shirts. I used to wear an XXL. Now I'm between a L and and XL--the XLs are too baggy and the L make me feel like a sausage. I feel your pain on shirts being assholes.

Aw thanks!
I’m in the same size predicament. The shirt is a 14 from the plus collection but I think the 12 would be too small because of my chest. Even if it’s not pulling then the shirts are to short. Blech !
We have had 3/3 recesses inside. I’m about to lose my mind. I’m taking tomorrow off. I need a mental break from school. I’m also getting really crampy after not having my period for three months: I feel so darn irritated with everything, everything. Indoor recess did not help my irritability. Now I have to write sub plans. Which is irritating. Ughhh.
Starting Monday I’m taking back an old role I held in my organization, sort of, about 5 months ago. The difference between them and now is that I report to someone different. With this additional work I’m definitely under paid, but I have to go through a 90 day trial period before we can discuss increasing compensation.
Part of me thinks people in the organization want me to fail (because I say what I think about situations and what I think is often different from the “party line”). Another part of me thinks I’m doing what I always do and looking for trouble where there is none.
My plan for the next 90 days is to get things done and then meet with the CFO and ask for a five-figure salary increase for my new role. If I got that increase I’d be in line with local compensation, but more importantly, that kind of increase would make a huge difference for me. I could pay off debt and save money.
I am ready for the weekend! It has been a long and emotionally draining week. On the upside my mom is getting out of rehab Monday and going home. She seems pretty perky!
We have that party to go to (the cocktail attire one at someone’s house) so hopefully that will be fun. We know the hosts and the friend who introduced us to them but he isn’t arriving until later and they are hosting (obvi) so it will be a lot of new people to meet! I do have a cute dress to wear and a wrap so I think I’m good for clothes but now I’m wondering where my dressy non-sandal shoes are. I hate dressy occasions in winter!!
H and I have been stressing a lot lately, so last night we watched two episodes of the new Netflix series about kitten rescue. OMG I love it. We went to bed thinking: aww, kittehs, instead of about sick me, sick MIL, and our crappy president.
Show name please? This sounds right up my alley.
DD1 and I like this too. I'm pretty sure it's just called Kitten Rescue.
An old friend asked me if her son could call DS tonight so he could practice speaking on the phone politely. LOL. They are 6 /7 and went to preschool together. With the exception of bumping into them in public, they haven't had a playdate in almost 2 yrs.
They talked so much we had a hard time getting them to hang up. Such a fun activity for them!

It’s called Kitten Rescue. It’s set in Britain, I think mostly the Liverpool area, so everyone has great accents, and they call cats “moggies,” which is adorable.

As soon as I saw this post, I stopped everything and DH and I thoroughly enjoyed the first segment on Lola v chimney. Hopefully the rest of the show and episodes are just as kitty friendly. So cute.
By the way, do not watch Don't F with Cats on Netflix unless you read reviews first. We almost did but once DH told me some details I said hell no.
