For obvious reasons, my kids (5 and 3) are going to be getting a lot more screentime this month than usual. I'd like to keep it at least a little educational. DD1 especially likes learning about science and animals.
Shows they like but are starting to get bored with:
- Magic School bus rides again (I've tried the original version too but they don't like it)
- Octonauts
- Dinosaur train
Anyone have recommendations for similar shows, preferably on Netflix or free on Prime?

This is too old for your kids, but someone just recommended Brain Games to me and my kids are watching it at this moment. 10 year old ds is more into it thank 8 year old dd.
Cartoons I remember my kids liking at those ages but might not still be on/available were Super Why and Word World.

When my kids were younger they liked Wild Kratts. Today for the first time they watched SciGirls and lijed it (ages 7 and 9). I think you can find them both on the PBS website and app, but I haven't looked for WK lately.
We've been relying on the PBS Kids Video app. Several free episodes of every PBS Kids show - our favorites are Odd Squad, Peg + Cat, Daniel Tiger, Wild Kratts, and Dinosaur Train. Our daily schedule that we started yesterday involves 2-3 episodes of PBS Kids and one movie.
I still think Backyardigans is a fantastic show if you can get it anywhere. My kids watched it when they were little and I bought a couple DVDs when it stopped airing.
I'm going to have my little girls watch "Super Why" every day as part of a reading/phonics plan for our distance learning. I think it's on PBS kids.

DD loves pretty much anything on PBS Kids. Her most recent favorites are Xavier Riddle and Molly of Denali, but over the years she has also been obsessed with Daniel Tiger, Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid, Super Why, and Word World. Also (not PBS Kids) Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about That and Magic School Bus.

In addition to the above - Berenstain Bears. It’s not educational in the traditional sense, but I think think the values and life lessons are really good.

Our library is providing access to Kanopy, which they say has quality children's programming. DD is watching their Muzzy Spanish for Kids show right now. No idea if it is good, but she tells me she wants to go to the dual language kindergarten in the fall, so seemed like I could give her a preview of what that means.

DD1, who is 6, likes Storybots on Netflix. Not technically educational, but my kids like LEGO Masters on Fox, which we’ll call STEM for now. And cake/cooking challenges.

LEGO masters is what we are doing for family time in the evenings right now. I need more shows like that that we can all watch together. The kids also like Masterchef Jr but DH won’t sit through that
PBS Kids Cyberchase and Wild Kratts are a big favorite for DD who is 3rd grade. Cyberchase is all about math and Wild Kratts is animals. She has watched all the seasons now so just hunts for her favorites.
DS likes Super Wings. It's somewhat educational because they travel around the world delivering packages, and they talk about the different cultures. DS likes it because planes transform into robots.
