South of Denver, CO and close to isabel. I went to the store and Target this am. Grocery store was still out of soup, pasta, most meat, TP, paper towels and rice. I went to Target and they didn’t have any of those things eat her. I was there to pick up a script for DS1 and they were able to override DS2’s ADHD meds to refill a day early so I didn’t have to come back tomorrow. The pharmacy had folding tables in front of the window so we were 6ft from the people at the window. I have seen to many more people walking dogs. Boys are out of school until 4/17, I’m out of work until 4/14. DH is super busy at work trying to provide vents for local hospital. Restaurants are providing take out food and booze, which is exciting!

Suburb of Portland, OR. We sort of have a SIP order here. Our governor is working to get it specifically drafted with the restrictions for Monday.
I am sticking to going out for groceries once a week if I can. No other errands or trips other than walks around the neighborhood.
I want to slap the shit out of my in-laws. They are both going to Fred Meyer tomorrow for milk. Only milk, no other groceries. Why both of them? Why can't one of them stay home? And maybe they should try Thriftway which is closer and less crowded? Noooo. He will only drink Fred Meyer milk.
Right outside Boston. Schools closed, all restaurants and bars closed, all playgrounds/play structures closed. Almost all local stores are closed to people but will do online ordering/curbside pick up. The parks and reservoir trails/hiking etc are all really crowded. People are idiots.

I’m in IL, central, and, as mentioned before, we just went under a stay-at-home order.
I work for a university that told us to go the fuck home at the end of last week and not come back (nicer than that, lol). I went into work earlier this week to get my at-home set-up ready, and my whole drive was an absolute ghost town. It feels like everything shut down really fast. When the universities told everyone don’t come back from spring break, the K-12 schools followed suit, then the governor officially shut K-12 down, businesses in my area were altering operations/closing, then the gov issued the shelter-in-place/stay-at-home order.
So far, we’ve had 1 death in our area hospitals, 5 confirmed, and a handful being observed as inpatients. I’m hoping, because we are not densely populated, are not a major metropolitan area, don’t have an international/large airport, etc., and people seem to be taking it seriously, we will have a trickle of cases and get it under control fast.
DFW Tonight the non-essentials close (gyms, salons) so maybe people will take it more seriously. DH got some groceries and many things mentioned above are gone.
I saw a kid's birthday party with a bouncy house at the local park, maybe 10-20 kids. Um, schools are closed for a reason folks! Maybe I will go take pictures of church parking lots tomorrow and shame them all here.
DH's team cannot work from home so I do not see him coming home unless the gov't covers wages for gigantic companies. I share an office and most people are now WFH, so I might go in on alternate days as my officemate because I can easily go the day without being near anyone else.
The weather should be much nicer next weekend so maybe I can find a place to walk outside and avoid the idiots in my neighborhood.

North County Inland San Diego- I haven't been out of the house since Thursday night when I did a Peterson's Donut run. The did a FB blast around 7 pm that they were shutting down at midnight and needed to sell out. There were at least 40 people in line and everyone tried to keep away from each other.
I know that In n Out was business as usual today since a friend there for lunch. It has been quieter than normal but we live on a private cul de sac and dont get much traffic. The neighbor behind us had his damn desert rat 4x4 out in the backyard and if he insists on spending hours driving around in circles in his yard, I may snap and beat him senseless with my kentucky long.
I have to venture out tomorrow to pick up meds for the kitties and get some odds and ends at the grocery store.
Chicago - prior to today’s shelter in lace things were pretty similar. Schools have been closed all week and people in my neighborhood seem to be taking it seriously. Stores are a mess but I got most things. No fresh meat and no medicine or paper goods. Everything else was pretty much available. Tons of neighbors out walking.
My friend just tested positive. A teacher at the school 5 blocks away, as well as another at the next closest school did, too. The first death in the state was a few miles from here. My throat really hurts and I have a cough. I’m sure I’m fine but I’m a little freaked.
I'm in central Texas, an hour north of Austin. Schools are closed through the first week of April, restaurants are drive-thru or curbside only, and the county is supposedly fining gatherings of more than 10 people. Grocery stores have plenty of produce and dairy, but no meat, bread, rice, pasta, or of course toilet paper. I also cannot find yeast to make bread.
I went to Walmart today and it was much less busy than a normal Saturday, which I was happy to see. I am still going to work. I work at a public library, and as of Thursday we are doing curbside pickup only, which is what the other nearby libraries are doing as well. DH is a ranger and head of maintenance at a state park, and they are still open for camping, though they have closed the playgrounds and park store.
Asheville, NC. Pretty much everything is shut down, but there are no shelter in place orders. As far as I can see, most people are practicing social distancing, but I haven't been outside of my immediate area much either. Even though take out is allowed, there are a lot of restaurants by me that are closed down fully. We went and walked around Biltmore gardens yesterday with our dog. It was fairly busy, but it is a big place so it was easy to maintain proper distance from others. We are going to try going on a hike this morning, but I've heard that some of the trails are too busy to stay away from each other so that may not end up happening.
ETA: For the most part, the grocery stores have been fully stocked.
I’m in the UP of Michigan and there are no confirmed cases here yet. The closest (as of yesterday) was in Appleton, I believe. Michigan has shut down all non essential services and schools have been out for the last week. I work at a university that went online at the same time. A smaller, private uni had spring break a week before we did and their students returned, only to close the dorms last Tuesday which left a lot of students with no where to go. Our university still has open dorms but they did offer a credit towards next year to anyone that would leave. Dining is grab and go only. International students started a petition to not close everything down. They have been pushing people to work from home but it’s more along the lines of do what you’re comfortable with. My department is full of idiots that don’t think it’s a big deal and refuse to do so. I commented in our zoom morning meeting that I was taking everything home every night just in case tomorrow is the day and one woman rolled her eyes and said (under her breath but loud enough to hear) that I was being stupid. Gov Whitmer hasn’t wasted any time shutting things down so it’s only a matter of time before we are told to leave. A family that has kids my sons ages left Friday morning for a week vacation in Florida. So some are taking it seriously and others are def not but it hasn’t hit close to home for people here.
I went to the grocery store yesterday and shelves were restocked and there was nothing I couldn’t get. It was like a slightly quieter Saturday afternoon there. I then went to get dog food and that place was very busy. One of the workers said Friday and yesterday they were swamped. Traffic was very quiet but the students make up so much of our population that it wasn’t as creepy as it might have been if that wasn’t the case. It was more like a day during summer when they are all gone.

(Non-US) Doha, Qatar - I'm not sure if we're SIP, but basically everything is closed except grocery stores and pharmacies, and has been for about a week. I'm not sure how long they'll be closed - I'm guessing 3 - 4 more weeks at least. (They even closed the mosques and majlis here, so that's a big deal). I appreciate how quickly they've taken action!
Another positive for Qatar is that after they were blockaded by their neighbors three years ago, they quickly started to pay attention to their food supplies, and have warehouses that are well stocked, and they are working on having more food supplied locally rather than outsourced. (They used to rely on Saudi for 90% of their food). Due to this, the shelves are not empty and we can mostly find what we need. I also bought lots of beans, rice, shelf stable milk, etc on the off chance that if shelves are empty, we'll be okay.
Per what the government is telling us, they've been swift to catch cases (they were mainly travelers coming into the country, or a group of laborers who all live together so it spread quickly). It seems we're close to 500 cases, but people are recovering. I don't think we have any deaths yet.
I work for an American university so we moved to working remotely last week (although classes went online a week earlier while they waited to decide what to do with staff - which was frustrating), but I'm just glad to be at home. I'm going into the building today to grab my laptop, and then as of Tuesday, it will be restricted to only essential workers.
I believe classes will be online through the end of semester, and they're trying to wait it out for graduation, but obviously they're just not sure what will happen.
I've been doing nightly walks around the compound, and I am seeing others out, but usually cross the street or just keep my distance. Otherwise, I'm mainly at home in my compound. We have been hanging out another couple, but we only see them once a week, but I feel like that's okay since it's just the four of us, and they're also isolating themselves at home!
al dente my brothers FIL in Hawaii was encouraging my parents to fly out since flights were cheap and empty. Not surprised they’re finally starting to get it over there. My other bro in Hawaii is a fireman and EMT and he’s been sleeping apart from his family to protect them.
I’m in N Va, same as OPs. There’s like a 10 day wait for grocery deliveries. Giant is so picked over but other stores seem to have more. I need to run into my office downtown for a laptop tomorrow afternoon. I’m sure it will be creepy.
In eastern NC, bigger city. No shelter in place order yet but it's coming and hopefully soon. It needs to happen to flatten the curve and not wipe out hundredsof thousands.
Most people are taking this seriously. I went to Walmart early yesterday and it not nearly as packed as it normally was but I was home by 930a. The stores are pretty picked out the other times I've stopped in a week or so ago. I've picked up enough provisions to get us (me, SO & 2 felines) through for the next few weeks.
I worked from home the last 3 days of the week. I work for a large financial institution and the vast majority of people will not be able to work from home. We are considered "essential" so it will get interesting as this progresses. I've got a BCP (business continuity plan) in place but it's going to be a rollercoaster trying to keep the wheels from falling off. I've got a few people that took advantage of the 14 days of "high risk" PTO and a few others trying to figure out childcare. As a manager, though, I feel like a schmuck working from the safety of my home when my team (in 2 states) cannot. Any tips for me in that regard?

I’m outside of Boston. People are anticipating shelter in place though the governor has denied it. Schools are closed and we expect even longer closures. I went to the store yesterday to stock up in perishables for the week. It wasn’t super crowded; I think everyone goes when they first open, so by 10 or 11 it’s manageable. Plenty of fruits and vegetables, but almost no yogurt or flour. It had an eerie vibe for sure. I was happy to leave. I am hearing lots of grumbling about overuse of playgrounds, which are closed, but when I drove by, they were empty. Many people in my area don’t have backyards, so that it leading to more people changing against any restrictions. We haven’t gone to hiking trails or anything, so I can’t speak to that. We were thinking of it but if they are crowded we’ll pass.

Yeah, Florida is mostly shut down so they probably won’t have much of a vacation. Most beaches are closed (not all) restaurants are takeout only, bars/clubs are closed, attractions are closed, grocery stores are bare....not sure why they would think now is a good time for a vacation.

Philly 'burbs. Small town with mostly independent shops. The retail shops, gyms, movie theaters, malls, etc. are closed. Most restaurants are take-out or delivery only, but a few are outright shut down. Schools have been closed since 3/13. We were told it would be until 3/30, though I expect they will be closed longer, but no official word yet.
One guy on our neighborhood FB page was bitching that the school tennis court was shut down. The school district said if people using the football field don't start practicing social distancing, they'll shut that down, too. The parks are shut down.
I haven't really been out to see if people really are staying home or social distancing if they do have to go out. I picked up two RXes from CVS a few days ago and used the drive-through. I also had to pick up RXes from our vet, and they had us come to the office, but stay in the parking lot and call, and they brought the RXes out.
I have heard that the grocery stores are still packed even during "senior shopping only" hours. I placed a Peapod order yesterday that's being delivered today.
South Korea. It's been 8 weeks since it started here and it feels like a light at the end of the tunnel may be coming soon. Schools are still shut down, childcare centers are looking to open, and the base has been great for trying to give us stuff to do on the weekends to get us out of our homes. Restrictions are still in place (no unnecessary off base travel, no social gatherings of 20+, recommending to shop on base to decrease risk, and CDC recs for hand washing).
I live off the base and there is semi-normal foot traffic starting again. The markets are reopening especially with it being spring. It is coming up on Cherry Blossom season and we have been told not to travel.
Edit:
I went to the grocery store this morning and the affects of over buying in the US is affecting our shipments. Certain items are now unavailable/delayed shipment and the store does not know when it will be in again. I noticed a lot of WIC labeled items with those signs and empty shelves in the dairy sections.
I'm in a northern suburb of Dallas. I haven't left our neighborhood in...5 days. I've been taking the dog for long walks and I've seen a fair number of people doing the same, but no large gatherings really. Restaurants are apparently slammed with takeout orders so that's good for them. Apparently some neighbors were having a gathering outside last night (that they called "mostly quarantine compliant") and someone called the cops on them, lol.
Connecticut Stay home, stay safe starts tomorrow.Essentials business still open and they are encouraging use of state parks but to stay away from each other.
Friday 72k applied for unemployment 223 confirmed cases Schools closed until April 30 per the Governor - distance lerning starts tomorrow
for the most part people are following social distancing
I’m pregnant so I haven’t left the house in like a week. For all I know, everything outside of my neighborhood has crumbled to the ground.
Other than the part about being pregnant, this could be me. lol
We live near the interstate, and I hear cars, so I know that life is going on out there, but I have no idea what it looks like.
The only neighbors that we have seen leave their property often are the couple next door who go out for motorcycle rides, although their cars haven't moved in a week. Everyone else seems to be staying home except for groceries, but even then, most of them haven't gone anywhere at all in the past 5 days or so. I haven't seen any kids playing... alone or with other neighbor kids. There are two kids who play together almost daily, (one is aTrumper family kid), so I guess our neighbors are taking it seriously.
DH went out on Wednesday to get dog prescriptions and dog food. He said that there was a lot less traffic than usual, but it was still more people out than he had expected. It's Florida, so maybe he shouldn't have been surprised.
We had a Whole Foods delivery yesterday, and I had to hover over the order and keep trying for a half an hour or so before a delivery time opened up. There were a few items that I had to get substitutions, but it was nbd, since it was just a different brand, not that I couldn't get it at all. Our organic vegetable delivery said that they are having a hard time getting their produce for this week because the stores were trying replenish and the suppliers are slammed. They are still going to be able to get the deliveries done this week, but are going to have to push deliveries back a day.
I just got a notification that my eyedrops prescription is ready to be picked up, so I guess one of us will go pick it up. So much for staying put.
Restaurants are take out/delivery only. No curfews, but things like meeting halls, event centers, etc. are closed and events have been cancelled.
The schools will start elearning on the 30th, and there is free installation/free wifi service for homes with K-12 students who don't have access. They are still providing meals to kids and families in need.
I’m in B.C, Canada. All non essential services are closed here, and I suspect a shelter in place order is coming. I own two businesses that I closed before being ordered to, as did most of the non essential business in town, people are taking it very seriously here, despite the fact that it has essentially crippled our resort town’s economy overnight. Our kids are currently on spring break but will not return next week, and for the ‘foreseeable’ future. We’re being prepared to homeschool 😢
I’m in a beach town in Florida. There are spring breakers here being jackasses. I walked the beach yesterday and kept my distance but there were far too many people hanging out in groups like it was any normal Saturday. I selfishly don’t want the beach to close because it’s my backyard but I think it may be the only way to get people to stop being stupid.
Schools are closed. Restaurants are take out only. Gyms and salons are closed too. I WFH when I’m not traveling so no change there. It’s very weird that I haven’t been on a plane in a month and likely won’t for another month at least.
North Houston, 14 cases in our county. One is traced back to being the guy serving food at the Houston Rodeo BBQ on Feb 28th. I haven't left my house in over a week. I am a volunteer with a local org that cares for kids aging out of foster care and kinship fosters, so pushing out info via Constant Contact. We are picking up groceries via on-line order. We haven't been unable to get much except bread. Our house is stocked but not more than I would at the holiday with some extra company. My sister is with us (two major heart attacks) so we are on lock down. H is working from home but when he has been out of the house for grocery pick-up, he says it is very busy. People are idiots. Restaurants are pick-up only. Neighbors are out in our cul-de-sac walking pups but only households and I haven't noticed groups, just one or two. Mostly olds here, smaller neighborhood and we are the youngest at 50. My H is in heaven since he spends most of his time in his garden and his composting/worm colony. Suffice it to say, this is a solo activity for him. LOL.
I'm also in DFW. I'm surprised that my lash place and hair salon are still open. Schools are closed. David starts virtual school on the 30th, so that will be interesting. His music school is offering online zoom type classes. There's still people gathering outside of restaurants on the patios. People are posting "shaming" pictures on social media and calling the police on them. Meanwhile, I'm just here in my little bubble, riding my Peloton and watching reality TV. I'm also experimenting with the sunless tanning stuff I got from Sephora, because, what better time than now? lol We did take the dog for a 3 mile walk yesterday. Didn't see anybody out.
