Portland, Maine. We are not allowed to gather in groups of more than 10, and any establishment that holds more people was ordered to close a week ago (grocery stores and other places that sell essentials are excepted). Schools are closed until April 27 (but probably longer). I went to the grocery store and Target for essentials yesterday; both had about half the usual customers. Everything was available except cleaning and paper products.
We take a walk each day and see lots of people out, but everyone separates as they pass each other. We did see a group of about 15 adults doing kettle bells on the high school soccer field yesterday, not socially distanced—boo! But I think overall our city is taking it seriously. We rely so much on tourism, though—it’s hard to imagine this region not being seriously screwed it the quarantine lasts into summer.

NS, Canada.
Our province declared a state of emergency today. No gatherings or more than 5 people (including in all stores with the exception of grocery stores and pharmacies), all public parks/trails are shut down and you can get fined for trespassing for parking at or using them, schools are shut down until at least April 3 (likely longer). Inter-province travellers must now quarantine themselves for 14 days. It's pretty intense for a province with 28 cases total, all of which are travel-related or an immediate relative of someone who traveled. I'm impressed that the government is taking fast action. Basically everywhere else in Canada has or is on track to do the same thing... So hopefully we're getting ahead of this in NS. Our province is very top-heavy with seniors, so a lot of at risk people.
I’m in B.C, Canada. All non essential services are closed here, and I suspect a shelter in place order is coming. I own two businesses that I closed before being ordered to, as did most of the non essential business in town, people are taking it very seriously here, despite the fact that it has essentially crippled our resort town’s economy overnight. Our kids are currently on spring break but will not return next week, and for the ‘foreseeable’ future. We’re being prepared to homeschool 😢
Michigan about halfway between Detroit and Lansing.
We are expecting the governor to announce Shelter in Place in the next day or so. School is closed until April 6th at least. We do not have lesson plans from teachers or anything, just suggested optional resources. Restaurants are takeout only. I walked through the neighborhood on Wednesday, lots of people outside but staying in their yards or walking like I was. I didn't see a lot of people congregating. One mom posted on the neighborhood page that they were headed to the neighborhood park if anyone wanted to join for a playdate and she was shamed and deleted the post, then later that day the dad texted me to see if DS could come over and play (I said no). Everyone else seems to take it pretty seriously.
Everyone in the fucking bay area decided to go to Stinson and Point Reyes yesterday so now they have shut down all public lands - every park, from the Headlands and Tam to teeny town squares. So no more outside exercise. My biggest sanity this week came from two hikes we took on completely empty trails. That's out now (yes - you are still allowed to walk around your own neighborhood - but everyone in my town is out walking in the neighborhood so you can't actually distance yourself.)
In San Diego, they closed all the park/beach parking lots starting this afternoon. We had a lot of people out this weekend but I don't think this will change much. You can still just park on the streets outside the parking lots and they are enforcing street parking less during all of this.

I'm in NJ outside of Trenton. I think people are pretty good about social distancing where we are. We live on a connector street between two parts of a 16 mile bike/hike trail, and we saw a lot of people walking and biking over the weekend. We went for a couple of dog walks and saw some neighbors, but we mostly just shouted to each other across the street. There is a small downtown area a block from my house with about eight restaurants, all independent. Two have closed temporarily, and the others are all offering takeout and delivery. We actually don't eat out that often, but we've been trying to order takeout while we've been home. On Saturday night before the shelter in place order, we went out really quickly to pick up some stuff at Lowes, and it looked like most of the parking lots on the way were pretty empty except for grocery stores.
I am in a small city in RI that is a tourist town so we are usually a little quiet this time of year. The local college shut down so the usual college kids all have mostly moved out but all the NYC people with summer houses seem to have flocked here early this year to escape and I have mixed feeling about that. We only have one small hospital and it will be easily overwhelmed if all the summer people come from lockdown areas and our grocery stores are already low on things. But then on the flip side there are more people to support the local businesses that are take out only right now.
Everything is closed, restaurants are take out only and they changed the rules and you can get beer/wine takeout from restaurants right now! Grocery stores are pretty bare, when I went this weekend to the smaller organic grocer they have the meats in the back and you had to ask for what you wanted and could get one at a time. No frozen veggies, no chicken breasts anywhere, obviously no TP.

ARRRRRGGGGGGhhhhh.
This is my fear :-( People being idiots making it worse for those of us practicing social distancing. I live in a suburb of a large city that has many cases and NEED to be able to go out to state parks to hike/walk trails to survive these weeks. We are also a coastal state with lots of beaches, but thankfully too cold for swimming right now.
