I went to Safeway at 6am on Sunday (when it first opened). They had about 30 packs of 16-pack TP. I assume it came from the shipment the night before. It was also a great time to shop. There were more employees in the store then customers (all in all I would say there were 10 customers in the entire grocery store).
Might want to try that route.
The first opening hour here is for seniors and people vulnerable for COVID 19.
If you have to go, I'd definitely recommend going to a 'regular' grocery store (like Safeway) during senior's hour if you are high risk, or just after, if you're not. Store is recently disinfected, fewer people, and more stock. Here safeway is open for seniors from 7-8. I went at 8:01 am and it was lovely.

Our Safeway has senior hours but it's only 2 days a week. Tuesday's and Thursday's from 7 - 9am. But thanks for the lecture.
No lecture given. "The first opening hour here..." Obviously every location is different. My mother, a senior, wasn't aware of it until I told her yesterday. Just something for people reading your post to be mindful of, if they plan to go right at opening. (I actually agreed with you to go at opening, or right after senior's hour)...
