I just saw on FB that some large destructive tornadoes are tearing through Mississippi. Some towns hit by the first one are getting hit by a second one
I’ve been watching the news and it’s awful. Atlanta is in the path and storms are expected to arrive here overnight. Our mayor posted on Facebook that we should expect 2-3 rounds of storms.

We (in central IL) had some tornadoes a few weeks ago and were given warnings days out that they were expecting extremely violent, large, long-track tornadoes and my anxiety was absolutely through the roof and I was terrified. We were very lucky that we were spared and storms ended up weakening more than they thought. My thoughts going out to everyone affected by this or potentially in the path who are scared.
We are sleeping on the first floor tonight. My anxiety couldn’t handle potentially missing the alerts going off.
Same, we’re sleeping on the first floor and ready to run to the basement.
If you’re worried about not hearing the sirens (which I always am) I highly recommend the Tornado app from Red Cross. It plays a very loud siren noise.

Outside Atlanta here. We just saw the first lightening a few minutes ago. The boys are in my floor asleep already and Dh and I are watchign tv. He plans to stay awake for most of the storms. I’ll see if I can stay up that long. Storms don’t usually bother me at all, but this is too much and I’m worried.
