I messed up our state taxes. I think I've got it fixed and have about 25 pages ready to mail in for an amendment. But...how do I do this while avoiding the post office? I feel stupid but I would usually just walk in and ask what to do in a new mailing situation. I've never mailed 25 pages before!
I’m not sure why you want to avoid the post office? I would try to go during a low-traffic time. You can probably go straight to the counter without waiting in line. Or you could use the kiosk. Or if you have a scale you can weigh it an look up how much postage and just drop in the mailbox (many post offices have drive-up).

I have to go to the post office once a week bc of work. I’ve never had a problem where I felt I had to avoid it. I also have a business P.O. Box in a UPS Store, They’re usually more crowded than my PO (Amazon returns!). Just wear a mask, stay away from people and don’t touch your face, nose, or eyes until you wash your hands.

If you have an envelope and scale at home, you can print postage with tracking online at usps website. It’s cheaper than going in person and you can schedule a free USPs pickup online too
I went to our post office recently and it was fine. They had plastic sheeting up and were only allowing 10 people inside at a time. Plus a socially distanced line.

Thanks all. It sounds like I should just pop in and be careful. Our little rural town has made headlines for an unusually high per capita covid19 rate so I've been avoiding basically everything. I don't have a scale at home though so I think I'll just do this in person.
