$1.99 x 800 square feet of basement covered = $1592 for carpet. Materials - like carpet pad, removal, prep, disposal, labor - Are generally in addition to the carpeting alone.
I’m not sure what you mean when you say 90 something square feet and then 800 square feet. So. 🤷♀️
Definitely go to a local flooring store. It will most likely be cheaper, they’ll have a lot more options and can help you choose what is best for your needs, and installation will be much easier, too.
My unsolicited advice: Buy the best padding that you can stomach. It makes carpet look and feel so much nicer! I’ve had so many people comment on how soft the carpet is, and several of my friends sit on the floor even when there is plenty real seating available.

Oh man, this. You can downgrade the quality of the carpet, but don't ever go cheap on the pad!
Agree with going with a local flooring store or company. We replaced the carpet in our whole house and Lowe's and Carpet Mill were both a lot more expensive than the local company we ended up going with.
