I ordered DH a birthday gift from Zazzle Back in May. It was supposed to be here by mid June and it wasn’t. But I know places are having delayed shipping from Covid etc so I told him one gift would be late. It shipped the 12th. The tracking says it’s been in my city since Saturday and that it was scanned at my PO facility. I tracked it using the actual UPSMI number. So I called the PO that services my zip code and gave her the number and she said they did not receive that package there and she couldn’t tell me where it was (didn’t have that info).
I sent an email to Zazzle customer service. I guess I’ll try to just get my money back on it. I would still like the gift though and would prefer that to my money back. Has anyone had a similar experience with the PO saying something was scanned but they don’t have it? Does this mean it’s lost or should I try calling other POs even though they don’t service my zip code? I guess I’m surprised the USPS doesn’t have like a global tracking service where an employee could see where something DID get scanned. Maybe I’m just out of luck?
The CSR I spoke to back at Christmas was much more helpful than my local PO lady who kept insisting it had been delivered to my house. She had additional tracking information for it being loaded and unloaded on the delivery vehicle.

Did it originally ship via USPS or was it transferred from a third party for delivery by USPS?
I recently had an order that was shipped through UPS mail innovations and sent to my local post office to be delivered. Tracking showed that it arrived at the post office on June 10 and was to be delivered that day by 8pm. It never arrived and the tracking didn’t change for 12 days. When I called the PO (last Friday- day 9) they explained that on June 10 they “electronically” accepted to have the package delivered to them, but it was still physically in possession of the third party. The tracking finally updated yesterday morning, and was delivered by lunchtime.

This is what it said! I hadn't heard of that but it said it was at my PO so I figured it was USPS (and I can track it on the USPS site, but I bet this is what happened). Well this is good news! Mine may still show up.
