The key fob will probably have to be programmed and all that jazz, I'd probably just have the dealership do it so I wouldn't have to screw with all that.

Do you have a valet key? We have 3 keys (2 for the car and then the valet) so if I ever lost mine, I would make do with the vlet key. It cant open the trunk, but you can just pull the lever in the car

Wait, then what's the point of the valet key? Couldn't the valet just pull the lever since they are driving your car? I'm so confused now.

Exactly And they cant click the doors open. You have to imsert the key.

I have a Honda and you can lock the lever so the trunk won't open.
My valet key for another car only allows the valet to open the door (none of the compartments or trunk will open), start the car, and drive up to a certain speed that I preset. Of course I don't let anyone drive my car anyways and I would never valet it. H was a valet in college and he's seen some of the others do some not so nice things to cars when they're not tipped properly.
expect it to cost about $250 Just get it from the dealer- it'll be the right key with the right chip and the right program.
I agree. I've learned from all the times that I've tried to be cheap that it's always ended up costing me more because of something not turning out right. With an electronic key, I would definitely just get it from the dealer.
