Ds, when I tell you than you need to load up trash and take it off before 4, the fact that you somehow dont know what time it is while you are working out, is not an excuse. Guess what, now I am going to wake you up at 730 AM to do it. You dont have much responsibility, so you need to do what is asked when asked.
Signed, pissed mom
Dear Wp,
I have always tried to keep language clean. However when they become teenagers sometimes the words-you will do it or be grounded from every DAMN thing with keys in this house- come out.
Dear DH You have a 4 day weekend because you didn't switch the calendar at work when they cancelled your big paintball game. Tough luck you are now going to do some crappy errands on a rare Friday off. I can't renew DD's passport without you. I can't get my haircut with DD in tow even though DD needs hers cut to so you will sit and wait for us both to get hair cuts. Don't give me crap Wife
People It is state mandated that we must wear masks in public indoors and outdoors. I've had 3 clients in and have to ask all 3 to put on masks. This isn't rocket science tax lady

Dear vrbo homeowner, Please accept our request. It’s our first time using vrbo and we finally found a place that works. I promise we are amazing guests. Thanks, I just want some certainty
sandandsea I’ve use vrbo for a long time in places around the world. Things may be different in COVID era, but I’ve never had a request not accepted if the dates were available.
I don’t know what normal kids do. But you have forced us to look at photos of our vacation listing every night before bed for a week. I hope it lives up to your expectation. And DD, thanks for your commentary “mom, I’m glad you saw a photo of the bathroom in advance. You’d have been terrified if you walked into a mustard yellow bathroom with no warning.”
Signed, I’m excited, but apparently not as excited as you guys.

Whelp. Apparently due to Covid they have to have 24 hours between guests so the dates that showed up as available weren’t really. But we found a different property very close to that one that was available and almost as good and we were able to book it outside of vrbo for $500 less so I guess I’ll mark it as a win!
Dear WPs, I had to get a damn covid test yesterday. I've had a headache for 4 days. Not unusual, I get migraines regularly, so I kind of just brushed it off initially. But, my migraine meds weren't touching it and just felt different. Woke up yesterday with the headache still raging, added in some bad stomach issues, and a raspy cough. Urgent care wanted me to come in for a test, so they got me in to the drive in place same day. On the phone they told me 5 days for results. At the test they told me 7 days for results. And beau went and got tested too since we're together all the time and they told him 10 days. So, this lag in results is no joke. No one knows when the heck we'll find out and we're supposed to quarantine ourselves until we get the results back. Thank god I work from home and am just chugging along, trying to rest in between projects. ExH is keeping the kids until I find out my results. Beau is holed up in his apartment, but feels completely fine. Today I'm exhausted and my cough is way worse. No fever throughout all of this. I am SO cautious. I wear my mask everywhere. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been inside a store instead of curbside or delivery. We've been out to eat on patios a couple times, but with masks and distancing. I won't eat inside anywhere yet. But now I'm so mad/upset at myself for "taking those risks" and potentially exposing myself. Ugh. Signed, Wish me luck
twinmomma- I’m so sorry. I’ve wondered this week if I need to get a test. Since I haven’t had fever or any respiratory stuff, I haven’t. But it’s so hard to know what is a symptom anymore.
mommyatty, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I swear, when googling, everything could or could not be a symptom. It's so tough to know. It seems like even though they use fever as a top symptom in the lists, it's actually not present in a lot of cases. Today my headache is just lingering, but my cough is worse and my stomach is still upset and I'm just exhausted feeling. I am totally shocked at how long it takes to get test results back. I know I shouldn't be, but the fact that we got three different answers is really bad. It's all such a mess.
twinmomma, I hate that. Our tests are coming back around 2 days right now. It sounds like the classic symptoms, but like you said who know. Last night my foot felt hot, and I was wondering if that was a symptom, since I have heard of feet issues. That is discouraging to hear. I feel like we have been careful, but I did actually have to go into a store yesterday. I felt safe when I stay outside of our quarantine guidelines (6ft contact for 15 minutes, no mask), but who even knows if that is safe at this point. DS wanted to go eat with friends last night, and I said no. We are in definite community spread. When this started, you could see workplace and family clusters, but now it is just random everywhere.

twinmomma, I hope you feel better. Tests are really backlogged. We had a friend who got a positive quickly but when she went to get retested to clear herself after recovering it took 11 days. Another friend has been waiting 7 days for results. It makes it near impossible to contain because how many people with mild symptoms really quarantine for that long when waiting for results?

twinmomma, I hope you feel better soon and get results back quicker than expected.
Dear Universe,
Hmm...well this is interesting. After 3 years, I'm well settled now in this city; but then I get a call for a bigger/better job back at our home city? Not sure how I feel about it. On one hand,
Thanks for letting us know someone here is probably positive for Covid so you fogged the entire office last night. See note above on the testing taking 7+ days. You're really going to wait until the results before contact tracing!?
I do think we're past the point of containment. I'm working on accepting the fact that many of us are going to get it no matter how careful we are and assuming this is a year round virus. With all that said, I still would like to take safety precautions.
twinmomma, good luck. If it is covid, hopefully it's a mild case. Either way, don't beat yourself up about it. We take the risks that we feel comfortable taking, and risks are part of life. If you were severely high risk and putting yourself in that position, it might be another story, but the world hasn't stopped just because of this pandemic, so living life with precautions in place is the best you can do.
mommyatty, it does feel crazy but it's also not surprising. I had a coworker tell me it's a hoax yesterday. No one wears masks at DH's company. I would guess 50% of the population here isn't taking it seriously or doesn't care.
