I can't find a comfortable sports bra for the life of me. I've literally been running in my normal bras because that is better than the sports bras I've tried in the last few years. Every one I've tried is too tight, I feel like I'm being smashed, it's a fight to get over my shoulders, too thick to wear in the summer, etc. I also feel like the sizing is a mess. I tried on a couple from Target and it seemed like I was an L/XL in order to breathe in it which is weird. I'm normally a S/M in tops, bra size is 34B/32C. I am pretty flat, I don't really need support, just looking for some nip coverage.
Please recommend some brands to me (preferably online/free returns).
I really like the Catalyst sports bra by Knix and the Advance bra from Athleta. I feel very secure and supported in both. I’m a C-D cup — the Knix goes up to 42G, and Athleta up to 40DD. I have friends who swear by the SheFit sports bra but I’ve never tried it.
I have a bunch of the Mirity ones from Amazon. I think if you search on amazon they are one of the top selling ones on there. I find them comfortable. They also are padded which helps with nipple coverage! I always used to wear thin ones until I got these ones. Also they are super reasonably priced. I can’t speak too much to quality since I haven’t had them for too long (to see how they have held up over time).
I recently got a Calia one that I like. It has a hook and eye in the back but also cross shoulder straps so they dont slide down. Its weird to put on at first but once I got used to it, its my favorite. Quite supportive. I am a 38D
I used to wear the Brooks Urban Cross over, but I can't figure out what they've rebranded that to. They were nice because they had hooks so I wouldn't get strangled trying to get it off.
I'm 36b so like...I think I can probably get by with less support than I've been using in the past. Which means...cuter styles. I still haven't pulled the trigger on these though and go with the high impact ones.
i have been searching for a replacement to my absolute favorite C9 Champion sports bras I bought like a decade ago. I remember everyone complaining on here about them not being supportive enough and having to wear two at a time. But they are like my perfect sports bra and i wish i bought more of them when I had the chance. I like that they have thin adjustable straps, light weight material, and keep me in place while not squeezing the life out of me. I haven't found anything close to them.
I wear a Brooks/Moving Comfort bra, I think called the uplift/crossback style. It's described as a C/D running bra, which I bought while I was nursing, but I find it still fits well now that I'm done and am a 34B/C.
Moving Comfort in general has great bras. They're just pretty spendy.

I swear the last time I bought a Moving Comfort bra it was close to $50, but when I bought some recently they were on sale for $25ish. I bought them directly from the Brooks website.
Funny I was going to ask if anyone had a she-fit sports bra so I'll be curious to see if anyone has some good recs.
I have a she-fit. I haven't actually used it running (pandemic laziness) but I really like it. Easy to get on and off, and feels like it would keep things from bouncing around. I did the jump test with it and it worked. I'm a 38F.

Brook/Moving Comfort. They just changed things up though. I bought one of the new Dare styles and it's okay. It does the job and if I didn't have my old Moving Comfort styles to compare it to, I'd think it was great. It's just that the old ones were better.

Shefit will hold you in, but they don’t work for me. The problem for me is size though- I’m a 34H and even with their ability to adjust I can’t get one that is tight enough around the band and big enough in the boob area. If it fits- it’s good. Although I find the top of the zipper sticks out under my shirt and it annoys me. I do like their non workout soft bras for hanging out around the house.

And okla do you find the straps to be irritating at all, where it adjusts/Velcros? I’m a 38DD but have small shoulders and rib cage so it’s hard to find a good fit
I almoat prefer changing the duvet cover over wrestling myself into a sports bra.
So, in pre-COVID -19 days this actually happened to me. Back when I went to the YMCA, took triathlon classes and practiced transitions from water to biking/running. I literally got caught in a running bra that was stuck on wet skin and needed Jesus to help me unroll.

The things we miss.
I have legitimately thought, on more than one occasion, “this is it, this is how I die.”

The Velcro doesn’t bother me. Occasionally, I don’t get the shoulder strap aligned just right and it will poke at me. It’s easy to fix- I just need to redo and be more careful. I’ve never had an issue around the rib cage.

I‘m a similar build (32Gg) and love freya sports bras, my second favorite are panache. Both clasp I’m back like a regular bra, so no fighting to get it over your head, and I can run without getting back pain. Probably not useful to the OP.
