Here's ours:
S: Leftovers from takeout last night (pasta fagioli soup and spaghetti) M: Cheesy rice/broccoli/chicken casserole T: Quesadillas with rice W: Bruschetta chicken pasta salad (can serve hot or cold) Th: Homemade nachos F: Takeout S: Unsure, we usually end up grilling something out and grabbing it from the store that day
Tonight - cheese and charcuterie, but with the addition of some hummus and cucumber we need to use tomorrow - salmon and cilantro rice bowl Tuesday - chicken tacos Wednesday - Tilapia romesco over barley Thursday - butter chicken with fried rice Friday - I think salmon? Maybe on the grill if the weather is nice. Saturday - maybe take out or grilling
Bang bang shrimp, unknown sides Meatloaf, smashed roasted Yukon small potatoes, creamed peas Shaved beef sandwiches with peppers and onions, fresh cut fries Mongolian beef over rice Broccoli cheese soup and fresh bread
Sunday: meatloaf, potato salad, roasted pumpkin, salad Monday: lamb burgers, fries, birthday cake (it’s my H’s birthday) Tuesday: chicken pot pie, drop biscuits Wednesday: some Indian chicken curry, tomato dal, rice, rotis Thursday: fried rice, honey garlic shrimp and fish, veg soup Friday: take out Saturday: another Indian curry (either chicken or mutton), spinach dal, rice and rotis
As I said in the Randoms, I phoned it in for this week. I worked until 11 on Friday, 4 hours last night, and will do a few more tonight.
We’re having buttermilk-herb grilled chicken with potatoes (H is cooking) and pizza, veggie and chicken yakisoba, and chicken salad sandwiches (all pre-prepared from Costco).
No idea. I am just cleaning out our fridge and freezer over the next few days in case we end up getting Hurricane next week.
So BBQ chicken quesadillas today, something with ground turkey tomorrow, and then pork chops on Tuesday. By then we will have a better idea of where Hurricane Laura goes.
I'm not saying I'm planning anything good, lol. David homeschools 3 days a week now and it's aaaaaaaa looooot of work for me so I'm doing super easy dinners.
Tonight- sausage/kale/potato hash Monday- whole chicken in the air fryer, crunchy kale salad Tuesday- salmon on kale salad Wednesday- tostados w/ chicken, guac, onion, shredded lettuce Thursday- chicken salad w/ goat cheese, bacon, honey mustard Friday- ordering Thai
Sat: Leftovers - chicken w/ lemon butter sauce and rice for my H, sausages + pasta salad + grapes for me Sun: Turkey sandwiches with more grapes and pasta salad
Rest of the week: We have a ton of leftover rice, but I don't really have the right veggies to make fried rice.
I bought some chicken flautas at Costco, so I'll probably heat them up and make seasoned black beans.
Maybe the herbed cod I didn't make while my in-laws were here.
I've been wanting to make a couple of things that use avocados, but I keep getting terrible ones, so I'm feeling discouraged.
Basically, I have no idea, and I need to go to the grocery store.

Yeah I'm getting in a huge food rut. I'm even sick of carry out lol. And we're choosing to not eat at restaurants currently, which is part of it, I think. I enjoy having a nice meal out once a week. I'm excited for the weather to turn for fall and transition to soups and stews and chilis. I could make those now, but they don't really sound appetizing when it's 100 lol.
We have a couple of new recipes this week, so I’m excited to change it up a little. I’m definitely getting bored with our same old’s.
Last Night: Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Pasta Tonight: Brats & Sauerkraut, Oven Fries, Corn on the Cob Mon: Spice-Rubbed Fish with Watermelon Salsa, Saffron Rice Tues: Leftovers Wed: “Camp Pizza” and Salad (basically DIY french bread pizzas - DD had them at Girl Scout camp last year) Thurs: Flank Steak with Cheesy Hash Brown Waffles and a random vegetable Fri: Delivery/Take-Out
Our meal plan was... Sunday: pork tenderloin, rice and broccoli Monday: grilled chicken, corn on the cob, roasted veggies Tuesday: zucchini lasagna Wednesday: chicken brats, watermelon and some other side Thursday: spaghetti squash, marinara and meatballs
But instead tomorrow will be something on the road and then whatever food MIL has on hand+whatever her friends bring by+whatever we get at the store for her once we get to Dallas.
Saturday- pork tenderloin and sweet potatoes Tonight- tacos Monday- steak/roast broccoli/Costco mashed potatoes Tuesday- leftovers Wednesday- chicken tikka masala Thursday- meat sauce and spaghetti Friday- takeout, probably sushi
I finally made it to TJs for frozen naan to go with tikka masala and they were out of the garlic kind thank goodness they at least had the plain and plenty of dark chocolate pretzel thins.
Oh and that baked feta pasta last week was yum! I added some leftover chicken breast into it as well, and I used crumbled feta since I needed to use that up and it worked fine, I will definitely make it again.
S: Grilled Pork Tenderloin, Air Fried Cajun Potatoes and Sauteed Green Beans M: Chicken Parmesan with Pasta and some sort of veg T: Mahi Mahi with coconut rice and maybe avocado corn salsa if my avocados are ready W: Ground Turkey Tacos Th: Leftovers F: Pizza Fridays at the Beach
Tonight: carne asada tacos Monday: brown sugar soy salmon and broccoli Tuesday: Mongolian meatballs and ramen Wednesday: chicken Caesar salads Thursday: chili chicken with naan
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Sunday: Pasta w/marinara + Talenti Double Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert Monday: Veggie "chickn" thing, corn on the cobb, pearled cous cous TBD: Soup+Grilled cheese, breakfast for dinner (eggs or omelett w/cheese and veggies, English muffin), burrito from favorite burrito place
I tend to eat a lot of the same things. I'm not a good cook.

No idea. DS wants to try vegan and I’m at a loss. We aren’t vegan or vegetarian. I might be able to go vegetarian but I’m struggling to find vegan stuff he’ll eat. He likes tofu. Not a fan of beans. We shall see how it goes. We’re stocked with veg burgers because we like those but I have to read all the labels etc...to make sure.
