Yes! The neon colored ones don’t last as long. They are plastic and rip. I have black ones that are fabric on the edges and they last forever. When I go into the building tomorrow I’ll try to remember to take a pic.
It minimizes the number of photocopies teachers have to make. They are like plastic sheet protectors but often have some kind of fabric or tape around 3 edges. You can slide worksheets in/out and have students do their work in dry erase marker.

We have some from lakeshore (I think). They have a metal ring at the top, which we used to hang them on hooks. Most of those rings ripped out. Last year’s class was ROUGH on our stuff (pre-k).
I have found that cost isn’t a factor at all with regards to quality. The plastic layer functions virtually the same across all price points. I prefer ones that are rimmed in fabric and that have a one edge that is taller than the other. The fabric seams hold up better for the movement/friction caused by wiping them off.

I haven’t found brand or cost to make a huge difference. I think the majority of mine are from dollar tree at this point. I have also found that heavy duty sheet protectors (with a piece of card stock also slid in if more stability is desired) work just as well for a fraction of the cost of even cheap pockets.
