When is the last time you laughed at or almost laughed at something your kid said or did that they didn’t mean to be funny?
Today DD, age 8, said “I bet I’m going to whiz at history.” After turning around to compose myself, I said, “I think you’re going to BE A whiz at history.” Then she started laughing and said, “Oh! Yeah, that’s what I meant. That would be gross.”
Our kids get really grossed out when DH and I kiss in front of them. They yell and scream and get really overly dramatic about it.
Last night we were teasing them and kissing while yelling MWAH each time. DD2 said, "I solved the kissing issue!!" and when I looked at her, she had her hands over her eyes.
I don't know why, but I laughed so hard that I could barely breathe.

DD1 told me that being all together all the time is making her stronger and our family closer. Then she told me the bad thing is that now she will be sadder when we are dead.
DD2 was running around outside a ton and eventually came up to beau and I and announced "ugh, I'm so out of breath! This is why I hate being female. We get cramps!!"
Both of us tried not to laugh and I quickly said something about how it's a different kind of cramp. It was hysterical to me, probably less so to beau. Lol

Tonight I overheard this.
DD1, on the phone to Steve her imaginary business partner: “We need to talk about the puppy quality, Steve. Too many are failing to meet the called-out standard. And hamsters. More hamsters. We have to find a way to send them in the mail with holes.” DD2: “the DD2 department needs more unicorns!” DD1: No. Ignore that. We don’t need unicorns. That’s my little sister. DD2 pulls out imaginary phone: Hello? Family dog? Yes. 10 chew toys and 3 boxes of bones. We do no contact pickup. Good.
DS2 (4) plays with toys very much like Andy from Toy Story. Ds1 never played that way so it’s fun to listen to what ds2 comes up with. He was playing With superheroes and yelled “not on my watch!” Followed by a “ho Ho Ho merry christmas” in a deep Santa voice and then started singing Jingle Bells.
Last weekend he was playing with a space hexbugs set and flew in on a ship and said on a robot voice “I am a robot. I’m here to destroy everything. I am a robot. I am a robot.” And went on to have an epic robot battle with himself.
It’s sooo cute and endearing and amazing that I want to bottle it up and keep it forever.
DS1 will randomly sing songs out of the blue. The other day he started singing "Who stole the keeshka?" (which is a polka tune by Frankie Yankovic). It was so random that we were all laughing. My Polish grandmother would have been proud.
