I’m teaching in person and my mask keeps sliding off my nose when I talk. What styles would be better? Until now I preferred the clamshell shape, but maybe the pleated would slide less? Bonus points for specific shops/stores.
I wear the Old Navy kind, which are kind of pleated. Never budges. Actually, I sometimes have the other problem of the edges going up to the bottom of my eyes.
I have both old navy styles. One has an adjustable ear and the other doesn't. They are my preferred masks. I also use a mask bracket and it makes a difference.
I wear a cone style kn-95 with a pleated mask on top for prettiness (aka, to look less clinical). The cloth mask climbs into my eyes some, but most of the time it is fine. I do wear a crocheted ear saver for the kn-95 because I must have a narrow head. I tried mask headbands but the buttons were too high.
Anything with adjustable ear loops is going to help with the nose-slippage problem. The shipping takes longer than I'd like, but my favorite masks for teaching have been the ones from eShakti. They're cut long (but still wrap around my chin) and have a nose piece you can adjust so it fits snugly. I have no trouble talking/breathing in them without needing to fix the fit regularly.

I feel like this mask thing is so much trial and error. I like eshakti rectangular/gathered masks. I have a couple that are shaped, and the gape around my chin. Adjusting the ear piece helps, but only sort of.
H has a couple of under armory masks. He loves them bc they stand away from the face somewhat in front of the mouth (no inhaling moist fabric), but they are terrible for talking. Pull off the nose easily. Might be a size issue, but at $30/each, I’m not guessing another size.

Yes. My mask is always up to my eyes. Wtf is wrong with my face that I can’t get a proper fit. Lol.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
This is what I use but I like the men’s fit better. I also have these plastic pieces from Amazon in the pockets of the mask to help keep it off my face/mouth a bit. Unisex Reusable 3D facemask... www.amazon.com/dp/B08GP5ZWM3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

We had that problem until I made alterations to our masks. The mask with non gathered sides got a little tuck, the gathered ones got stitched to be permanently gathered.
Search for a “singers mask.” I can refer you to someone who makes them for about $15/each that I know but they are all based on the same pattern. They are $$$ but very comfortable.

I love the G&L ones with the metal nose piece and chin fabric. They also all have adjustable ear straps. It’s definitely worth it to invest in a couple pricey but great quality masks if you are wearing it all day.
