So, this is a con of the box subscription. We get our box Wednesday and usually eat the 3 box meals W-F. I didn’t want to skip the whole week because it’s easy and they will carryover to the next week. But, I wish you didn’t have do to 3 meals every week (so you could choose 1 or 2 or switch from 4 to 2 people on occasion) or that we could get a Monday delivery. Dh and ds1 will be gone starting Thursday though so a couple of these will get pushed to next week and ds2 and I will have Mac and cheese or cereal.
sandandsea, change your box preference to 2 meals, and you can add extra meals for 1-2 nights a week to get 4 meals for the nights you know everyone will be home.
Have you tried playing around with it? We have our plan set for each meal to have two servings and I have to order at least six servings and no more than twelve for the week, but playing around with it, it doesn't care how they're divided out, as long as they're increments of two. So I can do all servings of one dish, do three meals for two people (what we do most nights), etc. When my sister came to visit, I increased two of the meals to be for four people, so I know that's doable. There may be a solution in there for you.
I don't love the night of the week ours get delivered either. They usually hold up for a week at least... usually.
Sunday - spaghetti and meatballs - mamaw's recipe and family favorite Monday - hotdog and brat roast over the firepit - DH in charge Tuesday - Seasoned grilled chicken breast, new potatoes and green beans, grilled garlic bread. Wednesday - Breakfast for supper - scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, potatoes and peppers Thursday, Mexican Chicken pasta with black beans, green peppers, corn and cheese. Friday - probably take out.
Sun: Bourbon marinated steak tips, sautéed spinach, mashed potatoes. Mon: chicken caprese pasta bake Tues: I’m thinking of risotto with chicken, roasted butternut squash, and goat cheese. Wed: leftovers - soccer will run a little late. Thurs: ?? Friday: Pizza Saturday: having dinner with my parents so I don’t know if I’m cooking, mom is cooking, or takeout
