Just confirm for me, please...
DH on Friday said he’d been feeling “off” all day. Overnight had nausea, vomiting, chills, shaking, body aches. No fever. No loss of taste or smell. I insisted he get a COVID test, which he did Saturday afternoon.
He’s feeling mostly better, never had a fever. He has bad anxiety and a degenerative disc disease, so shaking & body aches are pretty par for the course. No test results yet.
I can’t send DD to school tomorrow, can I? They’re hybrid and her in-class days are Tues/Fri. I would love for her to go (understatement of the year) but I also don’t want to be that asshole who goes out in public while waiting for test results. God forbid DH does have it and we sent our kid to school.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
I’m not keeping the whole house home for minor cold symptoms in one person - but everything you described would qualify for me to keep everyone home. I’m sorry!
Thanks, all. I knew the answer but I guess part of me was hoping there would be magical permission to send her!
Email has been sent to the school letting them know she’s staying home. DD is PISSED. We’ve been having DH self-isolate till the test results come in so he’s locked in our bedroom avoiding this child firestorm. Wish me luck.

Update: Negative! Yay!
Incidentally, one of my coworkers told me DH is the fourth person she knows who had his specific set of symptoms and tested negative for COVID in the last couple weeks. I guess that’s the bug going around right now.
