How does stuff run? Large vanity sizes like Gap? Or more true to size?
ETA: Specifically the Pranayama wrap and Coaster Luxe Sweatshirt
The wrap runs very big. The sweatshirts are TTS.
Athleta is very worth it to me because nearly everything is offered in petite sizes. I’m 5’1 with short legs. I can’t do the Target dupes because they just don’t fit. Instead I use my Discover rewards for Athleta since it works out to a 20% discount.
Oooh thanks! I have a Discover Card. I'm going to look into this.
If you’re not opposed to consignment, I buy a lot of stuff on Poshmark bc it’s easy to filter by brand and size. Once I know my size well in an athletic brand I just get it all second hand.
Dumb question, but do people actually wear the wrap when working out, or is it better for lounging?
I can't really picture what activity I'd do wearing a cardigan, maybe yoga but I feel like it would be in the way a lot. But I would wear the crap out of it around the house so I want one

You could wear it while doing stretches or something, but I wouldn’t wear it for actually working out. It’s GREAT for lounging.
Everyone is giving you great advice! My go-to gift for people is the Pranayama wrap. I also agree with the Coaster Luxe and Elation 7/8ths tights. Farralons are awesome too. I like Mindset sweatshirts (brushed and soft) and Sundown sweatshirts (more broken in and easy), Renew racerback tanks (really flattering and can be for workout or dress wear), and Uptempo (shirt or hoodie) - softest thing ever.
As for cold weather running, Rainier tights are brushed inside so cozier than regular workout tights. Momentum is a nice base layer, or the Forresthill turtleneck if you like wool.

I just ordered a new Pranayama from Athleta and a used Coaster Luxe from Mercari. You guys are a bad influence! LOL
The one direct from Athleta is backordered until November. Yikes! Hopefully the used one is in good condition.
I’ve been really trying to limit “fast fashion” purchases and these look like good staples.
I ordered shorts yesterday that are backordered until JANUARY. I mean. What? The supply chain is so messed up. It's hot basically year round though and I missed them the first round and really want them (the farafallon shorts).
For people who say they love the elation tights... do you have issues with pilling?
Some of the reviews complain about it. I don't dry my athletic clothing so I am wondering if that helps?
My first Altheta purchase was the salutation 7/8 stash pocket tights, and I don't think I will ever buy another type of workout leggings, ever. The material is awesome. I have thick thighs that rub, and I've worn my pair (and washed/dried them) several times with no pilling yet. I seriously couldn't figure out why I would pay that much for a pair of workout leggings when my Marika pocket leggings seemed just fine, but I love the Athleta ones so much!
I have probably lived in the Brooklyn ankle pants and zephyr crop top for the entirety of the pandemic. It’s one of those things that I put on and naturally feel amazing.
I have the elusive pranayama wrap (bought it 3 years ago!) and it’s still a staple (it sprung a hole near the armpit that I was able to fix a year ago).
Not relevant now but their swimwear is fantastic as well.
I just got their quilted whisper something jacket and can’t wait!
The only thing that bugs me is that their colours online aren’t necessarily true to life, but everything I get usually becomes a go to, so I’m ok spending a bit more if it’s going to be amazing.
