I wash my car anytime I wash my bikes in the warm weather, so maybe every 3 weeks. In the winter I'll wash it if it's above 50 degrees; maybe 2-3 times in the cold weather. I detail the interior about once/year but wipe off the dashboard and put protestant on it 2x/summer or so since it's hot in Atlanta.
It goes to a car wash almost never. There is rarely salt on the roads here. It's also a pain to take my bike rack off.
I am not sure I would take the word of a car wash on how frequently I should be visiting them. It's like the dog food bags telling you to feed your pet more than they really need so you go through the food faster and buy it more frequently.
Basically never. Even when I had a company car and they covered it I found routine maintenance (which they had me do at the dealership, which washed it if they looked at the thing) was plenty. I also live in a climate where we don’t do salt (no snow/ice), but when I lived in the Midwest I didn’t bother as a cheap high school and college student and never had rust. Paint is made to be outside and I’d be more worried about the color fading from sun than rust due to a lack of washing.
I should probably clean my interior more often, but as little time as I’ve spent in the car the last year ::shrug::

When I lived where they put salt on the roads, I washed it like once per year after the snow melted. Now, less than that. It's 21 years old and while my mechanic tells me the salt damage will lower it's life, it seems to be hanging in there okay so far.

Yes—what is that all about. I feed my dog less than half of what the bag says and he’s still obese. LOL

We have always asked our vets how much our dogs should get. I never trust the bag because they are more about selling more dog food and less about keeping your dog trim.
We signed up for the monthly subscription at a local car wash for both of our newer vehicles. As long as we go 2x a month it pays for itself so that is the minimum but since it's on DH's way home he usually stops with each vehicle once a week. We live in upstate NY so the salt/sand on the roads is heavy.
Before we purchased these vehicles we were lucky if we went 3-4 times a year with our much older model vehicles.
