I think he's a great choice because I don't think he someone who would be seen as elite/out of touch by rural Pennsylvanians, and he has risen a lot in visibility over the past few months with the election.
I can’t wait! Planning to be involved for him from day 1. He’s the perfect candidate for Pennsylvania. I’m really so excited!
I want Shapiro to run for Gov bc it’s absolutely CRUCIAL we protect our voters rights and we need someone spectacular for PA01 in Congress. But this is going to be amazing!

Shapiro was JUST re-elected to statewide office in November, so fingers crossed that the odds are good for him!
Someone on the Inquirer Article mentioned that Shapiro/Fetterman would also be a great East/West split.

Love all of the Fettermans (my longstanding infatuation is well documented) but I don't think it will be nearly as easy as some my think. I am in the Pittsburgh 'burbs and he is "guilty by association" for all the hate the governor is getting for COVID mitigation efforts. He was booted out of the swearing in session at the State Assembly on Tuesday (Republican power play)- with many comments on articles pro- Republican. He also gets slammed for pot decriminalization as he hangs a pot flag & lgbtq+ flag from his office balcony (Republican assembly wants to censure him for both but has excused away Wednesday's antics that included a Trump flag and Confederate flag at the Capitol).
TLDR- fetterman is amazing but it's going to be a fight- please donate!

Yep, I saw that our local news (WTAJ) shared the news of him considering a run and it had a ton of negative comments on it related to exactly what you mentioned.
According to accounts Mr. Fetterman gave in 2013 to local media, he chased the man in his pickup truck and used a 20-gauge shotgun he kept in the truck to hold him until the police appeared. “I believe I did the right thing,” Mr. Fetterman told WTAE-TV at the time. “But I may have broken the law in the course of it. I’m certainly not above the law.”
