National Rifle Association files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
The National Rifle Association announced that it intends to restructure as a nonprofit based in Texas and has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections.
"The move will enable long-term, sustainable growth and ensure the NRA's continued success as the nation's leading advocate for constitutional freedom -- free from the toxic political environment of New York," the gun advocacy group said in a statement Friday.
Sadly it's probably the perfect new home. Ugh. I hate it here.
It would depend on the area as to how "perfect." I know plenty of Texans who crusade for fun control, including some gun owners. If we resign ourselves to Texas being permanently conservative, it will be.
When my husband and I had our first apartment together we could see the top of the NRA building from our parking lot. I'm thrilled to see them go. I never thought their headquarters made sense in Fairfax, VA.
Why aren’t all of the gun-toting, Constitution lovers OUTRAGED at the evidence of cell pool dealings of the NRA?? If they loved their cause so much, why aren’t they as horrified as the rest of us?
