It seems related (as in, the GOP seems to be embracing or at least overlooking right wing Q lunatics like Greene) that McCarthy is in Florida kissing Trump’s ring:

I am actually pissed they are even rporting this. I literally do not care what Trump is doing in his fake named office.

I'm the last person who's in favor of oppo research, but how TF did this not come out when she was running for office a scant 3 months ago? Kevin Van Ausdal's campaign really blew it.

You should care because McCarthy is the top Republican in the House. It speaks volumes about him.
Yes she should be removed from office. No way will she do the right thing and resign.
Anyone involved with the planning on the 5th, the rally on the 6th or helping people on those days should be removed from Congress and arrested.

It was an underfunded campaign in a super red, super gerrymandered district.
Also, much of this--or similar--did. It was too late. The real failure was of the GOP to find and successfully run someone against her in the primary. Which, of course, they didn't because they have to embrace the Qs to win.
I'm glad we know McCarthy went down there. He is the minority leader, after all. It speaks volumes about where his loyalties lie, and calls into question any action he takes or proposes.
This is fucking bullshit, and the GOP needs to call him on this.
Yes, but she won’t be. 1. McCarthy is an incredibly weak minority leader who has not a single iota of a clue how to deal with the crazies or stop the conference from tearing each other apart. 2. She’ll run again somewhere else or for something else. She moved to that district specifically to have an easy run for Congress. 3. Have you met the GOP? She IS the base.
I’m guessing she got an Education committee assignment because leadership wanted her nowhere near a committee that requires a clearance. Options were limited. If she sees any kind of repercussions it’ll be losing that assignment.

I appreciate that you’re always a voice of logic even if it’s not what I want to hear.

If McCarthy was any kind of leader, he would have stayed in DC instead of going to FL to kiss Trump’s......ring.
And Greene could have been kept from *any* committees. They did it to Kinzinger, after all. By putting her on any committee, it give her power and a voice.

Oh, absolutely. Giving her one committee gave them some leverage though - if you give her nothing then you can’t take anything away. And let’s face it, Republicans don’t care about Education and Labor enough to spend too much time wondering what she could possibly do to it.

I keep on thinking of the void in the House Republican leadership. This has been apparent since they made Paul Ryan Speaker when he was relatively inexperienced and didn't really want to be because no one else was appropriate to step in.

Nevermind, they'll keep her. Space lasers sent by Jews from Space started California wildfires. You can't write a better Trumpism. Somehow I missed that until today. She's an excellent poster child for deplorability.

Jim Jordan wants to be leader and has a decent number of years under his belt now, especially since he just said he's not running for Portman's seat in the Senate. Jim Jordan is basically the perfect deplorable leader for the House GOP. We need to desperately safeguard our House majority in 2022.

I don't understand how he's in any elected office, given his complicity in the sex abuse of wrestlers at Ohio State.
I know this is inappropriate, but man, I would love if Bush just told her to shut the fuck off or just smacked her. It's so hard to be the bigger person and I would not fault her for responding. But then we'd get the Angry Black Woman narrative instead of the white, dumb, conspiracy theorist one.

I just caught that headline on Instagram and did the Michael C Hall (edit: apparently not Michael C Hall...) blinking thing. Like, there are no words for that kind of stupid.
