So this popped up on Facebook after I had some wine. Sooooo I bought it with us and our cats 😂. I think he's gotten a gift with the cats for every holiday since we got them. I'm an unabashed crazy cat lady
I'm getting H a sugar duster wand doodad. He makes us popovers frequently and hates the mess of using a sieve to sprinkle sugar on top. I'm sure I'll add a corny joke about giving me some sugar. I already hate myself for it.
A weighted blanket- he’s been wondering if he’d like one and I found one on clearance recently and thought “this has Valentine’s Day written all over it!” 🤣

A Roger Federer Funko Pop figurine. I think I still have an unused Vday card I never gave him last year. Usually we don't do anything so I'll take this as a win this year.

New jammies (which I likely would have bought for him anyway), and a heart-shaped box of beef jerky from Mancrates. We don’t usually do much for Valentines Day.
We're just going to order dinner from a nice, locally owned restaurant. This time I think I'm leaning toward the cute Italian place down the road, or to a nice, fancy place that actually shifted staff to doing a delivery service so he could keep them employed. It's a chain (though locally owned) of very nice restaurants.
We always cook a nice meal, but we never expect gifts for Valentines. Last year I got him an Atlas coffee subscription, and he's really enjoyed it. It was nice to surprise him with that. I have no ideas for this year, though... maybe I'll get the taxes done early this year and call that a gift 😅
Since it’s a Sunday, I think I’ll use that as an excuse to have him cook steaks. I may do some dessert. We rarely do anything Valentine’s Day, but I do like steak. lol
Clearly your marriages are doing better than mine during the pandemic 😭
I may get him chocolate? Maybe.
seriously lolsob.
We will do a lobster dinner as we always do on valentine's day. I will get him a funny card and we will have champagne. There will, almost certainly, be no hanky panky.
We got married on V Day so I try to do traditional anniversary gifts. This is 7 years so I'm looking to get him something made out of Wool. I have a Vintage Swiss Army Blanket in my Etsy cart but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm hoping to get inspired but nothing has struck me as "the perfect" gift yet.
I love Valentine’s Day! We probably won’t do physical gifts, but will do takeout, get a cake, flowers. I’ll have DS make a sweet card. I got one of those instax cameras, so I’ll probably take some cute photos of DS and I for him too.
I sent my DH a link to the exact ring/size that I want, which he's already purchased. Yay!
I got him a leather notebook cover with his initials engraved. He loves to journal and this will be perfect for him to carry with him. We are also scheduled for a boozy lunch on the 15th (Monday).
Part of my gift will also include chocolates. Milk chocolate is his love language.
We really don't do gifts, but we've been cleaning up and redecorating his home office, so I'm getting him a few of these to display Springsteen albums on one wall. I will wrap them and give them to him on V Day, assuming they arrive on time. He's vaguely aware of them, as we discussed what to put on one wall, but he's probably forgotten, so he'll be excited to see someone remembered and followed through. lol
We usually do cards but sometimes forget (shrug), so I'll make a point of remembering this year, and I bet we'll get takeout.
@@@@@
Maybe we'll even stay up and watch a movie after the kids go to bed. No promises. haha

I had $20 in Kohls cash, and I have never successfully used Kohls cash before. This time I realized that I could use it to order Valentine candy, so he's getting candy. LOL We also never buy cards anymore because neither of us can stand spending $5 for a card. Aldi had nice cards for .99 so he's getting one of those too. But honestly, I couldn't bring myself to get anything with too strong of a message because it felt really, really insincere!

I looked at a few cards at target and was like, NOPE.
I booked us a shotgun safety/learn to shoot clay targets class, lol.
It's all outside, a max of five people + instructor with everyone in their own shooting lanes, at a public range not too far away.
Normally I look for "experiences" as gifts, although this is the first time we'll have done something like this together. I took a pistol class decades ago and liked the target-shooting part of it, and I've been thinking about taking a shotgun/rifle class for awhile. It will definitely be something different. And our first actual date in more than a year.
It's on a Friday evening in March, but I'll give him protective eyewear (you have to BYO because pandemic) and maybe ear covers, plus the info about the class for Valentines Day.
