The idea of using crispy poultry skin as part of a "sandwich" is brilliant.
I'm geeked out by the live shrimp but I'll eat just shucked oysters so I guess I'd eat them, too. Although it would be weird if they jumped onto the table and started running away.

I am glad the descriptions say what is edible and not. I hope they tell you when you go to eat. I admit it all looks amazing. The live shrimp scare me a bit I am not sure if I could do that. I like to pretend my food was never alive.
He deleted all his tweets in the matter, but it basically went like this: (actual quotes are in quotes)
(I saw because it was RT by @sirenevirbila) ReneRedzepiNoma: "Dear people, if you are allergic to everything from the sea and would like to keep wheat, butter, offal and salt?? of the menu. Stay home!!"
Me: "Yikes! Stay away from your restaurant is more like it. People don't choose to be food allergic to annoy you"
RRN: (I wish I had a real quote on this but it was basically) What I meant to say was call us first. People with food allergies should call us first and then we will accommodate them
Me: ""call us 1st" uses just a few more characters and conveys your real message better than "stay home" did"
RRN: Writes something back where he uses "allergies" in quotes. Since deleted.
Me: " "Allergies" in quotes? Those are real allergens, and yes, as hard as it is, you can be allergic to more than one."
This is when I google him, realize who he is, and start praying that you never see the thread. lmao. Good thing I am drinking right now due to my shitty, shitty day.
Seriously I was like mortified that you would see it and cut me off from your affections forever. But I think you were traveling for the weekend, and I of course was still in my militant allergic person stage. Blame the lack of carbs. I couldn't even have fucking rice. Who is allergic to rice?!?!
I had a really good discussion about this very subject with Chef Daniel Humm and Will Guidara of Eleven Madison Park. They met with me and two other bloggers for about 30 minutes before they did a book signing.
Eleven Madison Park is very open to accommodating not just food allergies but even mere food dislikes. The restaurant's goal is for you to have the best meal possible for YOU. Thus, they encourage their patrons to call or e-mail ahead of time with any issues, so they may craft a delicious meal tailored to your needs.
