If it wasn’t for easy and generous return policies, I would not buy clothing. I hate the pressure of deciding what really fits and what I really like in a dressing room. I can talk myself out of buying anything. Only the steady mantra of “just buy it, you can return it” gets anything home. I am diligent with return receipts, original bags and the salespeople are really quite nice. I highly recommend a “buy much, keep only what you love” philosophy. I also recommend Macy’s and the Van Heusen outlet.
Avenue.com Some tops, I can usually find dresses there. Granted some is skewed old lady-and I am old.
They sell the City Chic brand there, which I’ve had luck with for wedding guest dresses.
My very favoritest dress is a City Chic! I've been stopped by multiple strangers (who were smaller than plus size) to tell me how great I look in that dress, which IMO is really saying something about how great it is. I need a reason to pull that out of the closet...

I used to get stopped by strangers (which NEVER happens to me) for my Torrid riding boots from maybe 3-4 seasons ago. They were flattering and comfortable and looked great on me.
They wore out so I bought (what I thought was) an identical pair, also from Torrid. They must have changed something because they’re uncomfortable and the ankles buckle/slouch. So disappointing
I usually buy from Lane Bryant. I'm the same size as you and I feel like they are pretty consistent in their sizing. I like the Evri jeans from Kohl's. Lane Bryant is expensive, but they have so many sales and I rarely pay more than $30 for a top.
YO THESE BLOUSES ARE LEGIT! Thank you so much for recommending them.
I also got some of the super soft crops and this is my uniform forever and ever amen.
Can you link to the crops? I’m desperate for some
I got these and a black pair. The waist band could be higher in the back, but I’ve got a big ass and I have yet to find a pair of pants that can handle all that ass inside them jeans 😂

I got my Stitch Fix and I’m keeping 2 things: a causal top for weekends and Bobeau sweater. I live where it’s a million degrees and humid for 10 months out of the year, but it was so soft and cozy I had to keep it!
I just got a big Old Navy order in and a big Maurice's order in. Keeping everything in both! It was mainly casual tops that I could also wear to work - some short sleeve, some 3/4 and a couple long sleeve, plus a dress.
I ordered some jeans from Lane Bryant - I kept one pair of cropped boyfriend jeans but I am sending back the boot cuts because they are like straight up flare! I have boot cut jeans from LB that are not like that at all. They look so wide and sloppy at the bottoms.
