I haven’t changed a ton in terms of major hairstyle (I have ranged from collarbone to bra strap length - and stay around my natural color with some highlights and low lights). I dress in a similar style, but more age and lifestyle appropriate. I don’t wear a lot of heels or shorter dresses now that I have a small child.
I just look (and am) tired. Pre-Covid I did Botox every 4-5 months on my crow’s feet and I cannot wait until I can start going again! I miiiight try a lip injection too. Not sure. When I look in the mirror, I see my mom’s tired face looking back sometimes and I struggle with that ☹️
I've been changing it as I become more confident as I get older. I have been a slow learner on the side of beauty and fashion. I used to wear tshirts, jeans, and hoodies when I was at my heaviest weight my early adult years. Dropping the weight has helped my confidence especially when it comes to shopping. I feel like I've started to find my style, I am more willing to try new things, and take some more risk.
I used to wear my hair in a messy bun and call it a day. Now, I have a new routine and went and got highlights for the first time last week. I don't wear makeup but started wearing a red lipstick I really like (long lasting one) that DD picked out. Then I keep changing my style of glasses frames as I morph through the years. I prior wanted plain black frames and slowly started getting colored frames and now fun patterns.
Yes, I feel like my look is actually better now than it was when I was younger. Despite gaining about 50 pounds, I care more about how I dress and how my hair and makeup look.

My hair is thinning, I think (hope) it’s related to peri menopause (will find out after I am fully vaccinated). Because of that I have decided to stop coloring my hair and let my grey’s fly.... for now anyway. And because of my thinning hair I worry about unnecessary heat on my hair so I let it air dry, luckily if I have wavy hair that usually cooperates with me and looks like I actually used a curling iron.
Besides mascara, I have not been wearing makeup since last year but before all of this I had changed my makeup (lighter coverage foundation, more cream products, not as dark/sparkly eye shadows).
Make-up—I follow tips from youtubers like hot&flashy to help lift my lids with neutral eyeshadow. I use sheer coverage tinted moisturizer.
Eyelash extensions—I get a natural-ish version, and they are an instant eye/upper-facelift visually. I get so many compliments on them.
Skincare—retinol and a couple times a year I’ll get a medspa facial (micro needling or similar) to boost collagen production and reduce sun damage and fine lines.
Botox 3x year for my 11s.
Clothing—In my late 30s I’d moved toward professional trendy when I entered tech. After my divorce last year I decided to embrace my retro/boho happy place. WFH makes it easier. But since I’m 44 and plump, I don’t wear frumpy 1960s vintage like I did when I was 18. Instead I focus on flattering pieces with retro vibes.
I never thought I'd care about aging. I always planned to just age gracefully, but I've got to say; I hit 35 and the only thing I see when I look in the mirror is my 11's. LOL
Still not at the point I want to try Botox, but I fully understand why it's a thing now.

icedcoffee I always said the same thing when I was younger! Probably a lot like how everyone is the best parent in the world until they actually become a parent lol. We started offering facial cosmetics at my job just as I was entering my late 30's and didn't really have any lines yet, so I started earlier than I probably would have. But man now when my botox starts wearing off, it's like I look I became a hag overnight. I just look so TIRED.
For me I think I look way different than I used to. I went to my natural hair which is wavy/curly and don't use any heat on my hair at all. All of my life I thought my curls needed to be straightened out to be pretty and it did so much damage. I plan never to go back but I think I would like to cut a lot of it off soon.
I also learned that I love to do my make-up and not to look younger or anything but now that I have gotten better at blending eyeshadow and liquid eye liner I find it soothing. So I am the opposite when it comes to make-up. I don't wear heavy foundation or arch my brows but I do like love a good bronzer, blush and highlight moment.
All the time. Currently my hair is shaved on the sides, and dyed pink and yellow. My only advice is to just go for it. Makeup washes off, and hair grows back.
Yes, I change it. While I'm not super stylish or anything I have tried to keep up with the times a bit over the years. I have found I look best with shoulder length hair right now. I often add highlights. I tried a purple with blonde foil a couple years ago and absolutely loved it and got tons of compliments but the color washed out in 3 weeks. I was so bummed so I stick to various blonde shades. I find it blends well as the greys start to pop back out.
I'm not a huge wearer of makeup but I do tend to stay in a neutral palate (pinks, browns). I dabbled with blues and purples and such years ago but I keep this pretty consistent. I do wish I knew how to do a better make up job. lol
My MIL was a little older than my age now (late 40s) when I met her and she has tried to hold on to her youth with this long ass hair that reaches her butt and it just looks awful. For the past 20+ years, she has been fully grey but she insists on coloring with those red box color kits. She will have inches and inches of grey roots before doing the box again. Its bad and she really needs to do something with it. I get it hard to chop off long hair and to turn grey but there is a time and I think there are ways to embrace the grey.
My aunt on the other hand is fully grey and keeps her hair more chin length and highlights with blonde so it truly compliments the grey and she looks so nice by comparison.
Id suggest contacting a good salon and asking for help. See what they suggest. Before your appts look online at people with similar look, age, hair, skin tone etc and see if anything interest you. I'm not suggesting anything drastic but perhaps a different shape or length or some color. Unless you were looking for something dramatic. GL
I should have mentioned, I think I look a little older and tired from grief as well (y'all know I lost my dad last year). I'm hoping that fades a bit, but this may just be how I look now.
I want to be the best version of myself and a good role model for my daughter. I'll be adding more skincare items to my Sephora cart

Yes, since I now WFH permanently, my daily look has changed. Definitely more "athleisure" and less full on professional. I wear makeup very rarely these days - only if I have a day full of video calls/meetings with people outside my org. I now wear my glasses all day some days instead of popping my contacts in the second I wake up.
My hair has always been somewhere between chin length and a little below my shoulders. I color it, both to cover the gray but also b/c I enjoy changing the color up. And, even working from home, I do my hair most every day. I feel so much better when my hair looks decent and is under control.
I spent a weekend with my mom recently looking back at old pictures of us. We were in tears we were laughing so hard at our 80s/90s style. I think it's natural to change your look/style as you age. Some of it (a lot of it?) for me anyway has to do with me getting more comfortable with myself and not caring so much what others think my style should be.
I never thought I'd care about aging. I always planned to just age gracefully, but I've got to say; I hit 35 and the only thing I see when I look in the mirror is my 11's. LOL

This biggest things I've done is step up my skin care and wear less make-up. Especially eye make-up, but really all make-up. I agree with updating hair as well.
Part of my post was motivated by pics at Easter where I put on eye liner and some eye makeup - it did not look good.
I've been there :-). On top of aging I also have small eyes so too much make-up on them really minimizes them. I do a liner, but it's in a gray and it's powder. eta: And I focus on my lashes A LOT.

I think I've always been kinda fluid on my look. I change my hair cut regularly (I've had super short almost pixie cuts to long enough that I donate it when I chop it off, but I did sort of settle on an angled bob between chin and shoulder length as my go-to cut/style). I used to change my hair color when I was a teen, but I haven't dyed it at all since before I got married 13 years ago. I do regularly wear foundation/eyeliner every day, and that hasn't changed in a while. But I think my style of clothing has changed as what is in has changed. I don't buy in to a lot of super trendy things, but it's hard not to change with changing styles because it's hard to find older styles in stores!
I change my hair frequently going back and forth between blonde and brunette. I also feel like I'm constantly growing my hair out only to chop it off again. For several years in the mid-2010's I had a Pixie Cut, before that it was long, before that it was the "Can I speak to your manager?" cut, now it's long again, down past my bra strap in the middle of my back. I'm not much of a make-up person, but have actually started trying out new things lately thanks to TikTok (laugh if you want, I laugh at myself LOL) My wardrobe is what needs to the most help. I hate the way that I look but yet, don't do anything about it and keep squeezing in to clothes that are too small because "I'm going to lose the weight this time", spoiler alert, at none of the times have I actually lost the weight. I don't know how to dress for my size and it's daunting.
I've mostly stopped wearing as much makeup because I think I look older when I wear lots of foundation, blush, eyeshadow.
I've done bangs and no bangs a number of times over the last 10 years. Right now I'm doing no bangs because it's easier during COVID. I have naturally very light blonde hair, which I did dye darker a few times when I was younger. It looked terrible on me - my eyebrows never matched. I haven't dyed it for years now, and am looking forward to going white in my old age.

I never looked worse than a few years out of college with a Meg Ryan haircut and dowdy work clothes. I’ve tried to find my style since then. My hairdresser keeps my hair looking up to date in terms of color and cut (2020 being an exception where I looked downright awful!). I look better with medium or long hair. Growing out the grey looks great on other people but horrible on me (I’m jealous of my sister’s pretty silver greys - mine are wiry and awful).
Lately I’m making a much bigger effort with skin care and I can see a difference. I’ve tried to figure out my style and what’s flattering on me though it’s a work in progress.
Overall I don’t look fantastic but it could be worse, and I’m making an effort. Once we aren’t wearing masks anymore I need to go to Nordstrom and update my makeup.
A few years ago I put blue highlights in my hair. I did love it, but I didn't like how they looked when they faded and it was a bitch to go back to non-blue highlights lol.
Otherwise, I don't change my look that often. I've really had the same hair cut since about 13 years ago. I like it, so why change it? I don't really care if it's "trendy" or not. I occasionally will switch up my hair - like maybe have auburn highlights put in or something. My makeup routine hasn't drastically changed.
For clothes, I just buy things I think look cute that fit me. And as a size 26/28, it's hard to find things that fit me at times, so I am a lot more limited, so I think that is partly why I don't really care if it's "trendy" or "too old." When you can walk in any store anywhere and find clothes in your size, those things are a lot easier to do. I don't have that luxury.
