My weekend was fantastic!
Friday evening we went bowling with a bunch of hubby's work peeps. Then to dinner. It was a really good time, even if the Debbie Downer of the group was there. I just ignored her and did my own thing.
Saturday was a day of house-stuff. You know, that being an adult shit you have to do. Cleaning, grocery shopping, etc...
Sunday was the Zoo Run Run 5k! Me and my BFF did it together and it was so much fun! I didn't PR, but my official time was comparable to my last 5k so I was really happy with how I did.
Then I came home and took a nap and made a casserole. Sundays are my favorite days!

Good morning, DG! Great job on the 5k, and glad the bowling was fun!
Friday, I can't remember doing anything significant, which means it was probably a wine and mary night.
Saturday we did some chores in the morning, watched some football games, and then went on a pub crawl that hit up 4 bars in 5 hours. Good times, lots of laughs, and fun people watching.
Yesterday I only left the house to pick up a prescription. The rest of the day we spent watching more football, doing laundry, cooking, and sleeping. The Texans are 3-0 for the first time ever! (sorry to Ang who witnessed this history, most likely unhappy with the result)

Good Morning! My weekend was pretty good. I had to shop for paint and furniture. Not exciting but I had a good couple of days. Plus the weather has been just beautiful.

Friday was a travel day. I didn't get home until after 9.
Saturday I was worthless. I slept practically all morning and afternoon. That evening we went to watch some roller derby. The small league here isn't quite as exciting as what you see on TV.
Sunday I was a lazy bum. I didn't do anything productive until after 6pm when I went for a walk with H, started laundry, and checked my finances to see how much money I spent last week.
I was a complete bum this weekend, but last week was so exhausting!
Friday - the boss let us go home early, so I got my drink on before heading to the grocery store. This can be good and bad, I'm in a good mood, but I forget some items.
Saturday- H woke me up and we had morning sex which was amazing. My MIL and I went to the Grape Escape and drank a bunch of wine from different wineries. It was fun, relaxing and a beautiful day.
Sunday - I mostly did home work and then went to ILs for some drinks. Overall pretty good weekend.
Friday was a wedding rehearsal dinner for Greg's cousin's wedding. They put us at a table with 4 other DINK couples-- it was great! It was at a brewery/restaurant and the food and beers were delicious. Went bar hopping with that group afterward.
Saturday I dropped Greg off downtown to get ready for the wedding, then I drove an hour to another wedding, and left after the ceremony. Made it back downtown in time to check into our hotel before the second wedding-- When I got there, Greg had upgraded our room and had a bottle of champagne, a bowl of fruit, and a box from Victoria's Secret waiting for me The second wedding was beeeeeautiful and we had an amazing time dancing with everyone. Definitely in my top 5 weddings!
Sunday we enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room then met the family for brunch. Went home and took a quick nap before heading back downtown to tailgate with friends. They park their RV in a lot near the stadium, it's so much fun! The game was equally frustrating (can we puh-leeze get the real refs back?!) and fantastic...but we didn't get home until 2am! Damn those night games! And we have another on Thursday-- I think I'm taking Friday off!
Saturday was my nieces first birthday. I don't know anyone who showed up. SIL's twin sister showed up, her XH was there and she was there with her new boyfriend who she was in love with after half a day with him (and was with him before the divorce was final)
Sunday we went shooting. I'm a wee bit sore but I had fun. Some guy were amazed I could shoot as well as I could.
Friday - We just had dinner at a fun, local place, stopped at the grocery store, then we vegged at home.
Saturday - Went to a smorgasbord for breakfast with some friends (S ate free for his birthday), hit the gym in the afternoon, then out for a steak dinner. I was kind of disappointed with the restaurant, kind of "meh". Although the wine was delicious! We were home in time for the Notre Dame game. 4-0, baby!
Sunday - I made S pumpkin spice french toast for breakfast, then went to the trails for a bit (the weather was gorgeous!). We spent the rest of the day watching football. I made snickerdoodle bars for S, and whipped together some chicken tacos for dinner.

Friday - watched tv, then some friends came over late to hang out.
Saturday - errands and BIL's birthday party. Good people, but a little chilly, and SIL got on me about "talking about my dog like a kid" again. I didn't. I mentioned Duff twice and she talked about her kids nonstop. If there was a different subject at any point, it probably wouldn't have seemed like I was talking about him in reference to parenting.
Sunday - AWESOME DAY! We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary (even though it's tomorrow). Woke up, got busy, watched a bunch of football (the Chiefs finally won!), made out, played with the dog, then got ready for dinner. We have a tradition of going to some Food Network Star's restaurant every year. On our honeymoon, it was Mario Batali and Wolfgang Puck in Vegas. On our first anniversary, it was Michael Simon's place in Cleveland. This year, we stayed in our own city and checked out Aaron Sanchez's new place in Leawood.
Delicious! We started with this cherizo/queso concoction and a pint of beer. Then we shared a flight of premium tequilas. For the main course, D had these amazing, no-knife-need, fall-apart short ribs, and I had a delicious grilled chicken with garlic, chipotle, and lime over jicama with a side of braised greens. Afterwards, we went next door to an awesome little gelato place. Thank goodness for the Weight Watchers weekly points "slush fund"!
Went home, got busy, fell asleep. *sigh* What a great day.

I took steps toward overcoming my fear of furniture commitment. We went shopping and found a few couch options that we like. The place we liked best offers in-home consultations for a small fee (which is then applied to your purchase if you buy from them), so I think we're going to do that.
Saturday night I had this chocolate pate dessert that I would marry if I could.
Friday - We didn't do a whole lot, but my sister got another puppy, so we went over to her house to meet her. She is SO cute!
Saturday - I made the mistake of going to a pretty hard yoga class, then followed that with a couple of hours of stand up paddle boarding on the river. It was easily one of the best things I've ever done, but it really wiped me out. That evening we went to dinner with MIL, BIL and MH’s aunt that I’ve never met. We attempted to stay up long enough to at least watch SNL, but we passed out by 10 (and determined that we need to start taking naps on Saturdays).
Sunday – We brewed beer for the first time with a bunch of friends! It was awesome to finally see someone’s set up and everything and it gave us a good plan on how to get our own equipment set up. So we’re going to spend the rest of this week looking for the last few things we need and then hopefully clear out the garage this coming weekend to start getting it all put together.

Duff, I saw your FB update about that. I really need to try paddle boarding sometime, I have heard quite a few people say that it's fun and not too hard for a first-timer to try.
It was surprisingly easy. My only complaint is that there's no water in NM, so we kept hitting sandbars - which may have been good b/c it gave me plenty of time for breaks. My friends said it was really easy to get the hang of too...they were able to actually stand up on the boards, but I had to stay kneeling with my god forsaken knee issues.
