I just booked my flight to see my sister. I’m excited. I want to bring the kids but we’ve waited this long, may as well wait until they’re vaccinated.
I’m caught up on work, totally. Such a good feeling.
I’m still loving my fillers for my mouth lines. They’re still there but not nearly as deep. It looks very natural. Pretty much only I can tell but I guess that’s good! If anyone is on the fence, I highly recommend it.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
which do you like? Do you think they will work for me? I'm mid 40s and pretty sure I'm in perimenopause. My period has changed a lot over the last year. Its extremely heavy, painful and I have leaked right through pants a couple of times. Its awful. I'm really looking for extra protection while I sleep and when I am working out. I will likely still wear tampons (pads overnight) because its so heavy. Any recommendations?

I’ve not tried thinx but I have cheaper dupes from Amazon. I love them. There’s no way on earth is ever be able to replace my tampons for the underwear for the first few days, even on the thinkz quiz they said it wasn’t possible. I use it as back up and it’s great. I can use them as replacement for tampons on the last day or two where I’m mostly just spotting.

cjcouple just a hint: rinse them really well and spray them with vinegar to neutralize the blood smell after taking them off. After a while they can have an odor, even after washing well.

I have the Amazon ones too. I still use a tampon- but I have heavy bleeding. I like them so when I'm bleeding through, less to stress and worry about.

katfco Is that for thinx specifically? I’ve never had this issue with my cheapies. I was contemplating getting a pair of thinx to compare but not if I have to do extra work. I’m lazy.

OMG yes! Like I don’t have to worry about running to the bathroom or cleaning up a mess down there in a public toilet. I have incredibly heavy bleeding ever since having my kids. Thanks kids.

I hate sleeping on a couch. I have to take my meds every six hours, so I stayed up until after 1, and between my very large and lumpy bandage on one foot and the compression pump on the other (to prevent blood clots), I got maybe 3 hours of interrupted sleep.
Plus, part of my tongue is numb from the surgery, I think from when they intubated me. They didn’t tell me that could happen and I really hope it goes away soon.

I don’t know. Part of it is because DD is still learning how to rinse them out well, and it might be because she has super heavy periods and doesn’t change them as often as she should—she can’t do the 18-24 hours they say it can.

My son has a piano recital today that he is just almost kind of ready for. He’s been taking piano lessons forever, but he does as little practice as he can get away with. I wouldn’t say he is gifted by any means, but he is skilled and it is too bad that he doesn’t care more. I hope he does well even though he is ill prepared. The good news is that it is not a well known song and it’s haphazard, so if he makes mistakes, very few people will even know.

I think 12 hours is the max they recommend with light periods though.
It’s cold and rainy. 😢 thankfully my in laws are taking the kids today so I’m off to get a pedicure and takeout lunch. H and I will go out to dinner later.
I haven’t had a pedicure since fall of 2019!!! My nails are in great shape for the first time in forever as a result (nail polish really effs up my nails) but it’s time for a cute color!!
Rainy and cold here too. We're supposed to go to my cousin's house today and my parents' on Monday. I'm not sure I can handle so much social interaction. I really want to be swimming and laying in the sun. Humph.

katfco as soon as school is done and you’re feeling up to it, we’re going to meet in person! We’ve both been through so much this past year!
One of my work besties is getting married today! I’m going to her wedding with other work friends, no husbands/ SO... just us girls and some drinks celebrating our friend! (We’re all fully vaccinated teachers.)! It’s going to be freezing for this outdoor/open air wedding, but I don’t care. I’m looking forward to my first post-pandemic/post brain tumor/post-baby social event!
We're going to a beer and wine fest at the winery today! We always go to this on Memorial Day weekend as a kind of "kick off" to summer but it was of course cancelled last year, so extra excited to go today. Of course, it's randomly cold here today. Hopefully it'll get to be at least 60 and it is sunny. But it's normally humid as hell for this event so this is weird.
We got a king size bed delivered yesterday and it's everything I hoped for!
This morning I think I'll head to a consignment store to look at their clothes. Then H, DS(5) and I are headed to my parents' house for a hot dog roast for lunch.
Also we need to get rid of so much cardboard so H will make a recycle run at some point. And the car needs a wash. H took her over the pass and back so she's covered in bugs and bird poop.
My sister and I are meeting up for pedicures and lunch, and I need to do some serious weeding in my vegetable and flower gardens after that. H is working on our sprinklers, and I'm crossing everything that he's able to get them operational today because I'm sick to death of toting my big watering can all over the yard to make sure that my plants don't die.
Yesterday was the last day I let students turn in late work, and OMG I will never again let the deadline go so late. I graded around 200 assignments between 9:00-3:00, and when I left work I only had a dozen or so left to go. When I woke up this morning I had another 70 submitted before the 11:59 cutoff.

My child had learned his fathers habits. He starts knocking on the bathroom door yelling “Daddy! What are you doing? Are you pooping? Yeah...You’re pooping”. 😂

She doesn’t wear the light ones.
For the 5 tampon ones, 12 hours is the longest I’ve seen recommended.
How long can tweens and teens wear Thinx? For most tweens and teens, our 5 tampon absorbency undies can last between 8 - 12 hours. But every period is different — depending on their flow (light, moderate, heavy), they may have to change their Thinx (BTWN) more often. Pro tip: if they’ve got a long day ahead, pack extra pairs just in case! We suggest each tween or teen try Thinx (BTWN) at home first to understand how it works for their body and period.

I admit, this is something we’re still working with her on. Between the depression and autism, developing good, regular hygiene habits has been more challenging. She frequently needs to be reminded

It's 45 and raining today, and I'm about to head out to my daughter's outdoor dance recital. I volunteered to be backstage and watch the kids 2 classes/shows my DD is in, 10 kids 9 and under probably all complaining about the cold, this should be fun. At least I'm backstage under the tent instead of in the open air uncovered audience seating. Her studio has done a fantastic job keeping things covid safe and the kids have all worked so hard, I wish we had a better day for this.
DH and I had dinner with friends at our favorite sushi place last night. Their fish menu was killer and we got so much delicious nigiri. The bill was over $500. Lol Then they came over and hung out for a bit. It was a really fun night and so great to catch up with them.
The boys are with MIL, so I’m just now waking up. Going to enjoy some tea on the patio and meal plan for the week.
We’re taking the boys to meet a swim instructor this afternoon and get them signed up for swim lessons. I’m hoping they both figure it out relatively quickly.
Other than that, I’m hoping for a lazy low key long weekend. We’ll watch the Indy 500 tomorrow (tradition in DH’s family) and eat fried chicken and taco salad. I might try to take DS1 for a bike ride at a trail nearby. I’m so happy to have Monday off.

The in-laws are visiting this weekend and they're taking the kids to their hotel tonight. This will be our first night away from them since last August. We're going out to dinner with another couple and I plan to have a BIG margarita!
It’s rainy and cold here all weekend, which would normally be bumming me out but I only have 4 more teaching days after this and then I’ll never have to teach kindergarten on zoom ever again so nothing can really get me down! Lol.
We started Mare of Easttown last night and I knew we wanted to watch it so I’ve been steering clear of all discussions/articles about it and I was stoked to see a fave local band was used for a ton of the music and gets a bunch of shout outs! Mannequin Pussy is super dope and I’m so happy they’re getting some major airtime.
We’ve been on a waitlist to get my son a Woom bike since October and I’m finally giving up. I miss our bike ride/jogs and we can’t keep waiting. We’re heading over to REI today to pick one out and he’s going to look like such a tween on a big bike like that. I can’t believe he’s turning 10.
It is cold and rainy here this weekend. I really want to put the rest of my flowers in the ground this weekend, so I hope that Monday stays clear like it is supposed to. It should hopefully be easy to dig after all this rain, so that's perfect. I feel like setting up gardening has been a month long project at this point so it will be nice to be done...
Today my H and I are going out to lunch, then I have my book club at 4pm. I am looking forward to seeing a couple of friends I haven't seen in-person since Labor day! My friend who is hosting has insisted that nobody bring anything, so I'm curious to see what she puts together. If I have time, I think I'm going to stop by somewhere and buy some flowers to bring her at least.
I have a number of household tasks I'd like to accomplish this weekend, especially setting up the bedframe/headboard that I ordered like 2 months ago that is still sitting in the box. I also would like to do some painting but we'll see how my motivation goes. My H has a lot of work to do so I assume he'll be working most of the weekend.
