My H is a cyclist and has really tight hamstrings. We've tried all kinds of things at home to get him stretched out but never seem to get him good relief. I was thinking about getting him a package at Stretch Lab for Father's Day, but won't bother if you all say it isn't worth it.

Yes, I love my membership. I have terribly tight legs and it helps a lot to relieve pressure on my lower back. I haven't been in many months bc I wanted to wait until I was fully vaccinated, and then I had my biopsy so wasn't sure what to expect then. I'm going to go back next month.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
No. Our insurance requires a diagnosis and a referral from our PCP and then the copay is actually more expensive than it would be for him to go to the Stretch Lab.

Sometimes, PTs work on private pay and it is much easier than jumping through insurance hoops. I am using one now that is just a little more than my copay, but the doctor/prescription/insurance hassle is eliminated. I can go as much o4 little as I feel I need.

I had never heard of this, but this sounds so nice. I have very tight shoulders and neck and I've always thought "I wish someone could stretch me instead of massage me". The closest one is like 3 hours from me. :::Sob:::

Look for a Thai massage place closer, it's a similar concept. Basically the practitioner moves your body through a series of stretches, you wear yoga clothes on a padded floor vs. just lying bare on a table. It's pretty great.
Can someone explain the pricing and the one on one vs group classes?
The website just shows the 49$ intro price. What is the normal pricing?
it's membership based. so it is.... several hundred $ for a certain # of sessions per month. i assume it varies by location? but i agree that they're not very upfront about it.
No; the place I used to get my massages also offers a "full body stretch" which was awesome. Except my big belly got in the way of a lot of the stretches, so that part sucked.

I was going to go and ended up in PT instead at the recommendation of a coach at my gym, and I'm glad I made that choice. The tightness I was feeling was because my body was compensating for a weakness further up the chain, and PT helped correct that with targeted strength exercises in addition to stretching. I went in because I ended up with a mild injury that had been progressively getting worse over the course of two months (partially from from doing the wrong stretches!) and they were able to correct the issue in three weeks. Those three weeks ended up being the same price as three months of Stretch Lab, but I left armed with the appropriate exercises to continue strengthening the weak areas and the stretches I can do to stay limber.
So, long story short, yeah, he might find relief from StretchLab but it'll be temporary at best unless he figures out what the imbalance or weakness is and addresses it.

Yes. I was unimpressed once I found out the "stretchers" have no real accreditation or anything. I figured at least personal trainers, pt etc. Sounds like a recipe for injury.

I had really poor mobility in my hips and I found a PT via instagram that’s posts workout videos and a lot of stretches for different issues. My hips are 100% back to normal after consistently doing the stretches over the course of a few months. I had to go a ways back, but she has one for tight hamstrings. Her Instagram is lathoma3. It’s free, so worth a shot!
