I’ve been without a debit card since mine expired in March. I just went last week to order the third card, as the first two were lost in the mail and never arrived. The most recent one I ordered was supposed to take 4-7 days to arrive. Today is day 10. Not really sure how to get a permanent debit card at this point.
ETA: for those wondering, I have a temporary card from the bank but that is only good for ATM withdrawals. To use it as a debit card, it has to be a permanent card that has my name printed on it which is the one that comes in the mail.

Honestly I forwarded my mail from FL to MD while I’m up here on work assignment for the summer and have only received like 4 envelopes. We don’t get a lot of mail to begin with but where is my bill that you took a picture of and said you forwarded to me a month ago?
It’s like a $10 bill for my pcp so I’m not worried about it but I am concerned that all my mail is MIA and will be through august lol

My credit union prints permanent cards (with CHIPS!) on-site. Maybe there's one somewhere around you that does the same that you can transfer funds to?

My parents moved last November and forwarded mail was horrible. They even kept delivering mail to the old address long after the forward mail was supposed to start. Thankfully their realtor was able to go get it from the new owners and mail it to them.
I'm not sure they ever got all of their mail.
Add in that they're in a new development that didn't have a mailbox for months and it was just a mess all around.
Reviving this thread with my latest horrible mail story. My SIL lived in our house for all of 2019 while we were overseas and she was building a new house. Last week, we had an envelope show up in our mailbox stamped “return to sender, unable to deliver.” It was clearly a Christmas card sent out by my SIL but it had our address preprinted as the return address. So I texted her and asked if she by any chance tried to use up some old cards this most recent Christmas. Nope. The card that was returned was mailed in 2019. It had bounced around for a year and a half before being returned to sender.
My local post office is the worst nothing that they do makes any sense. I had to file a complaint with the post master for my region because my mail carrier refused to deliver my mail. Any complaints my neighbors and I have had have been brushed off and we have been told about how they are not enough carriers and being understaffed. Which I can understand. What I can’t understand is why I have had multiple UPS packages delivered by my mail carrier if they are not even able to deliver USPS mail in a timely (or at all) manner
Since Dejoy has only been there a year, I think it not enough time to fix the USPS. It has been a mess for many, many years. We had all our blue drive up boxes removed several years ago due to mail theft. It used to take 3 days for mail to get to my family --- about 5-6 years ago it started taking 5-6 days. The slow down in not all Dejoys fault. I think it is worth the risk to get a business non USPS person at the helm for a few years to see if they can be more efficient. He comes from a logistics/shipping background.
