I am feeling the need to air my grievances against society.
I see this ALL the time and I don’t know if I’m alone in being annoyed. A parent (usually a mother) will post on social media, NextDoor or a community FB page etc., some iteration of
Hi everyone! My (kid) is home from college and looking to (babysit/work in an office/mow a lawn/tutor etc.). They are (insert over 18 age) years old and are totally awesome bc of (degree/area of study/certifications/past experience). If anyone needs (insert list above) message me!
I would purposely not hire someone who had their mommy doing their dirty work. If you are of age, I feel like you should post your availability and qualifications your damn self. I think it’s actually quite pathetic and I would never do it for my child. In fact, we hired our old babysitter bc she put a flier in our mailbox HERSELF and we admired her entrepreneurial spirit. Likewise, when my older daughter got her Red Cross cert., SHE advertised herself the same way (and got jobs). I can see not wanting a minor to post on SM, especially a public site like ND, but if you are adult enough to be seeking employment you should be representing yourself.

gummybear, I feel like it's ok because the groups I see it in are normally mom groups and I assume the kids aren't in them. Nextdoor might be a different matter.
I hate it when someone posts "moderator, please delete if not allowed".
A) They will, you don't have to say it. And you don't win points with the moderator for saying it. B) Read the rules.

I have an employee that messages me, before I'm in for the day, and asks if we have xyz meeting. If it's on the calendar, then yes we do. If there's no meeting on the calendar, then no we don't. You really don't need to ask me this at least once a week.

Yesssss! I feel like it’s something that’s usually not allowed but they are hoping it stays up long enough to get their desired results.
In my neighborhood adult children of residents generally wouldn’t be allowed to be members of our private page. But a few times I’ve seen the adult post using their parents’ account: “Hi, I’m Brian, Susan’s son. I’m home from college and want to offer my services doing yard work and outdoor chores. You can reach me at: 555-1234”
I hate when people start a post with “So, …..”. Or ask for recommendations and end with”…..and, go!”

I HATE “And…go!” too. I also despise influencers/bloggers posting a sale/restock and saying “RUNNNN!!!” I unfollowed a fashion/lifestyle blogger bc she was always posting that.
I accept adult children using their parent’s account on private pages! Best of both worlds.

My life right now is an irrational annoyance (well some rational ones also)...thank you summer. One that popped into my head is that Jcrew is advertising online an end of the season sale (for summer things) and Walmart cleared out our summer aisle for back to school I know we return early this year (8/11) but can we please get past the Fourth of July first?! Also I had to go pick up something from old navy so I took a peek around. There were some cute shorts, but they are sweat shorts in this super heavy material. It’s summer..:I’m cool with this sweat short trend but can we do a lighter fabric? It is 95 here...

I can speak from the retail POV that our first fall drop is late July I KNOW it sucks! As for summer inventory we are just straggling along with what is left (no new product) before the switchover.
When someone sends an email at like 4pm and then a follow up the next morning before 10am.
We have this newish sales rep and I get he's new and need help on things, but chill. He emailed me around 10am today and I was on a call. Then at noon I stepped out to grab lunch and run a couple errands. I was back at my desk for no more than 20 minutes when he walked by my office and stopped in to ask me if I had a chance to look at his email. The thing he needed was not important or a pressing matter. I was probably a little rude in my tone, but I responded something like "not yet, I'm working on another urgent customer issue and I haven't had time yet" (that was a lie, I was in fact not terribly busy, and would have just responded to him before the end of the day, which is a perfectly acceptable timeframe.) He makes me want to sort his emails to the bottom of my list and not respond for 2-3 business days. LOL.

It's ridiculous. I can't even take DD shopping for BTS, by the time we can wear ANY of the fall stuff that drops in July, it is at least late October. Which reminds me, need to purchase summer clothes in the next size up for back to school before they disappear entirely.
My stepsister's husband just retired. He's 51, 3 years younger than I am, and has worked his whole career for the company holding my retirement accounts. I'm green with jealousy and pissed because fees I pay contribute to him (and everyone else there) earning far more than I think they're worth. (And of course, it only matters what I think they're worth! lol)

"All Set" or "Are they all set?"
This one is rational, but spending 20 minutes trying to pass the buck...just do it!
Summer clothes and summer drinks not being avb. for purchase in SUMMER. I get ragey about pumpkin too as it's almost always winter flavors in Oct. in my area. (I know this is stupid)
People posting a phone screen shot with a low battery. It almost gives me anxiety like charge your phone bruh.
Why do people watch your IG stories but never like your pictures? Is it because it's easier to watch stories than scroll through a feed?
IG is a lot like Facebook where I see the same 5 people's posts, but I'll see a bunch of different people when I go through stories. And because of that I only watch stories, I rarely ever scroll through my feed.
gummybear, someone recently posted on our neighborhood FB page that her 17 year old was looking for work and asking who was hiring. Most people replied, "Ummm...everyone?" LOL And more than one person pointed out that a 17 year old should be finding their own work.
My kids want to play outside with their friends 24/7. Even though I am working from home I feel like I never see them, I thought I had more time before they totally ditched me. I'm sure other people would like this scenario more than I do.
I think I am going to instute a family time pokicy.
My annoyance is I'm pregnant and can't drink lol. My mom is in town and watching our kid overnight, so me and my husband are getting a hotel downtown and going out for a nice dinner and all. Obviously it will still be very nice and a good time. But this opportunity comes up once every 1.5 years when my mom can come out, and I love going to a fancy hotel and enjoying a drink on the balcony or with a nice kid free dinner. Last time she was here I was going through chemo and also couldn't drink!
A woman at a dog meet-up asked DH for job hunting advice for her son.. he's 30.
I have a client who insists I respond "received" to every email she sends (most of which don't require a response) "for audit purposes." It annoys me like no other.
I get irrationally angry at other people walking their dogs when they dawdle or otherwise behave in a way that makes me unable to avoid them when walking Donny. I even said out loud to H that the reason Donny's training is so important is so that I stop irrationally hating people in our neighborhood who don't deserve it lol.
Ha, my son is 13 and had grand plans to advertise to work in our neighborhood this summer. I offered to post to our neighborhood Facebook group, but ONLY if he put in the effort to create a flyer. I wanted to make sure he was invested before I put it out there.
Guess who never made the flyer lol.
In a similar vein, a neighbor was just saying how she hired a girl a couple summers ago from a post made by the girls dad. The girl was supposed to come weekly to weed and some other light outdoor chores. She came once, clearly did not want to be there, and never came back.
I think that more often than not those posts are wishful thinking on the parents part.

We had a mother complaining on a local page because a store manager would not give her a application for her 17 year old son. He wanted the kid to come in, she was mad. LOL
They only time I do not mind parents posting is when it is questions like "are there any stores currently hiring 14/15 year olds?". Most stores around here prefer 16 and up.
ETA: I just realized I posted my 13 year old son's flyer for mowing, but he does not have FB and did knock on a lot of doors.

I do understand the retail cycle but grrr. Part of it is I live in south Florida so fall clothes really have no place in my life lol. I ripped a pair of shorts I really like on something and I was trying to find a suitable replacement and my size is already out of stock. It’s been this way since June!

I both can’t stand my children and also hate this. We went to our local mini water park for the first time in a while obviously and we met friends and didn’t see the kids all day. But then my 4yo was hanging on me the entire time. Both were equally annoying. I miss them actually wanting us to do stuff with them and it being enjoyable for all involved.

Omg one time (and one time only lol) we tried taking our dog to the beach. Everytime we found someplace away from people this other person with a dog would set up right next to us. We moved probably four times before just leaving. Like wtf you see my dog losing his mind leave us alone! I still get heated when I think about it ha.
Mine is really dumb, but it drives me nuts that my retired neighbor, who is home all week long, waits until the weekend to do loud yard work.
We love to relax and lounge around on weekend mornings, but it sucks to hear a lawn mower or pressure washer going at 10am while we'll trying to chill and watch tv.
He does other yard work and projects during the week, I see him puttering around his yard all the time. I just don't understand why he waits until the weekend to do the loudest yard work, when all the neighbors are home from work trying to relax.
