Former President Donald Trump took his fight with three massive tech companies to court, filing lawsuits that legal experts say are all but guaranteed to fail – even as they rally Republican voters, fundraisers and donors.
Trump revealed Wednesday that he is suing Facebook, Twitter and Google, as well as their respective CEOs Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey and Sundar Pichai, in class-action lawsuits.
Trump, who has a history of threatening legal action but not always following through, made the announcement at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, alongside two leaders from America First Policy Institute, the pro-Trump nonprofit group that is supporting the lawsuits.
I'm sure the "fundraising" grift texts/emails/mailers have already gone out. Not that he spends that haul on paying his lawyers.

The first I saw of this on Twitter had the fundraising email photo next to the press release about the lawsuits. I think his main points are to raise money and gather attention.
Just thinking how much opposing counsel will enjoy drafting responses. I suppose the tech companies will work with outside counsel but I’d be begging to respond if I were in house.
I’m never sure if I should be pissed at the blatant money grab, or happy that bad people are losing money over their own stupidity. I guess it depends if it gains him any avenues to power.
I wonder if he'll do the same donation grift as before to have people unwittingly agree to give weekly when they think they're making a 1 time donation.

For some reason I'm on Trump's mailing list (I'm one of his top supporters, according to the email) and I got two emails yesterday to ask for money to fight the liberals that are silencing our best president in history.
But if, somehow, the lawsuits are allowed to proceed, Trump would almost certainly have to provide depositions under oath, forcing him for the first time to answer questions about his actions and inactions on Jan. 6.
I didn't realize how much I cringe at the sound of his voice. It has been a blissful 5.5 months and I had a visceral reaction to hearing him speak again. And I tortured myself by watching a clip 2x bc I could not believe how terribly he butchered Sundar Pichai's name, I was like "Did he get the wrong CEO? Who is this man he is talking about?"

For those on Twitter, Akiva Cohen (I think his username is akivamcohen) does a really good job explaining not only why these lawsuits are stupid and will fail, bit are also really professionally embarrassing for the attorneys who sign them.

YES. So often I’ve just said to myself out of nowhere, “it’s so nice he’s not on Twitter and tv anymore.”
A comedian/writer I follow still has this tweet pinned to the top of his timeline, from the day that Trump was banned from Twitter. For context, the video is from a Simpsons episode where the kids in town all stopped watching tv and started experiencing fun things outdoors:

Interesting, even the first few tweets about the location, his position (I did not realize these lawsuits are class action), and the First Amendment.
I'll link it here in a spoiler for anyone who doesn't want to go searching.

He told Bill O'Reilly that he welcomes sitting for a deposition in this case. Ok, dumbass. Can't wait to see what they come after you about. John Dean (Watergate attorney) just said on CNN that since T is the plaintiff, it opens him up to all kinds of exposure/questions.
Bring it, lawyers. I'll get the popcorn.
I HATE this guy with the fire of 1000 suns. Why can't he just go away? JUST GO AWAY.
