We decorate for Christmas and usually take down around New Years, since we are off work then. If we don’t get to it by the time to return to work in January, we usually do it the first weekend in January.
Usually depends on how much we put up and whether the tree is starting to dry out. If we do outside decorations they might stay up till February till we don't get a good weather day for H to safely be on the roof. (didn't do them this year) The tree comes down faster if it's crispy, stays up at least through new years as long as it's not shedding needles everywhere. This year I think it's goign to come down pretty quick because we've done a haphazard job of watering and she's pretty dry. If we do the mantle and just generally have the christmas knickknacks out and about (which we didn't this year) those will stay up for a while. defintiely through new years and then come down whenever one of us has a fit of organization.
Usually they are already down but this year I am really enjoying my tree. We may leave it up a bit longer and add white/silver ornaments to make it a winter tree?! I am tired of the other Christmas stuff.
Usually before New Years. We didn’t put up much in the way of indoor decorations this year (tree/ornaments and some nutcrackers), but we have a LOT of outdoor decorations, and those will have to wait until the weather is good. They’re inflatables (flame away! My H loves them), so they need to be nice and dry before we can put them away.

Usually mid-January, but we have movers showing up to bring the rest of our furniture in a couple weeks, so it needs to be down before the New Year this year. I prefer to decorate early and tear down early, but honestly, that's not how it usually works out, ha!
January 1 or 2. We get a live tree at the very beginning of December - it usually won’t last much longer than that. When the tree comes down everything comes down.
Normally after NYE but they are coming down today. our tree is completely dried out and I am worried it is now a fire hazard. I also don't want to be taking down decorations on Sunday before we all return to reality.
Oh I am leaving our outside lights up for all of January and maybe February. We had the big colored bulb lights and they are so pretty. They make me happy so we are going to leave them on.
The dry tree worry is one of the several reasons we don't get real trees. When I was a kid I had a friend whose family would take their tree (sans decorations and lights but full of tinsel and garland) outside the week after Xmas and set it on fire. It hardly took anything to get that sucker blazing. Whenever I was over at their house when they did it I'd always think, "That was in your HOUSE." No thank you.
Usually Christmas comes down after Epiphany (1/6) and winter stuff stays up until just before Valentine’s Day. This year, I’m over it. Christmas tree came down last night. My mantle decor will stay up for awhile because I like the lights.
Outside stuff comes down whenever my H feels like it & the weather cooperates.

Probably sometime this week. It takes us a while to get things up, even though we don’t put up a ton. If we did outdoor lights (skipped this year), they’d stay up until February.

Yeah, I get it. It’s the first real one we have had in 5 years. I water it and keep a close eye on it, but it may not be worth the worry next year.

We normally wait until the weekend of or closest to NYD but I’m dying to take everything down in the next day or two. My house is a mess and the tree makes it harder to find space to store everything.
We're an interfaith family that celebrates Hanukkah and Christmas. When the two don't overlap, Hanukkah comes down the day after it ends, so that Christmas decorations can go up. I prefer to have one set of holiday decorations at a time. Then Christmas comes down sometime in the week after, usually the next weekend.
I guess even when they do overlap I take Hanukkah down the day after it ends.

My dad was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years and has worked a career in risk management, which is why I SMH when I see people driving their real trees home the day after Thanksgiving. How freaking dry and dead will that thing be by Christmas?!

I can't stand christmas trees and we took ours down yesterday. Just so much work to decorate, needles, and messes up the flow of the room. The rest of it will come down this week, by NYD at least.
If it were up to my husband, Dec. 26. I think I can get him to New Year’s Day, though. I’m still getting and hanging what I call “retaliatory” Christmas cards, though, and I love them, so I may keep that part of the “decor” going a little longer.
