So last episode recap:
Schmitt is operating on podcast guy doing the Webber Method. He calls attending for assist...then gets cocky and doesn't wait...and it is blood all over and the guy dies.
Amelia and Kai kiss as Link arrives to see. He was going to profess his love to Amelia. Jo has the hots for Link.
Still chemistry with Mer and Hayes. The Parkinson Research team is prepping for David's surgery. There is a kink as David has a bowel issue that has to be fixed first.
Farouk is dying. Meghan tells Hayes she will kill herself if Farouk dies. Teddy, Owen, and Hayes all 3 go to get the heart because 3 surgeons should all be gone from the hospital for this. They get it, then on the way back the driver has a stroke and crashes with their vehicle hanging over a cliff. Teddy and heart make it out to flag a car for help and to get to hospital. Owen confesses to Hayes he gave Noah drugs to die and that if he dies Hayes has to give drugs to 3 more Vets Owen promised them to. Hayes gets out then vehicle goes over cliff with Owen in it.
uggh forgot it was a crossover. So the rescue effort will take place during Station 19. Blah.
Given that there are about 700,000 people in Seattle, these firefighters sure do spend a significant portion of time saving doctors from one specific hospital.
I watched station 19 which, again, was a complete waste of time. But they killed DeLuca during a previous crossover and now I’m suckered into watching just incase.

So Hayes is being written off since Meredith has a different love interest? I thought he and Megan might end up together at this rate.
I’m wondering if the actor wanted to leave and so they pulled the other love interest out of thin air to help keep that type of story line going? It’s the only thing I can think of that makes sense.

Has this show ever had a content single person? Like someone who just sits back and is all f*ck this sex partner swapping drama, I'm just going to kick back and shake my head. I mean, I know there is no drama in that, and I can't think of any character who would fit, but man. I feel like it's a hospital version of "I am my own grampa."

I just have to wonder why they keep going on this crossover path. No one here seems to like it. I can imagine that's a fairly universal sentiment.
I quite like the crossovers between the dick wolf chicago shows (med, fire, pd). But they're rare and never involve actual plot necessary info.
I tried to get back into greys, a few times, after quitting. Sure, I'll read a thread, but I left at terrible representation of medical research first. Then covid bullshit. Now with crossovers of a show I don't want to watch? Who does this appeal to?
Why is Hayes being so fucking sanctimonious about the drugs? Jesus. Calm the fuck down, man.
I’m not done watching the episode, but I saw their first encounter. I know they had to include this for more drama, but I feel like this also. I mean he sacrificed himself for you…these men are dying a horrible painful and certain death, I’d probably be like you’re good man just keep my name out of it if you get caught 🤷♀️ Maybe something will come out about his wife’s death that makes this more fraught. Also Meredith would totally keep quiet regardless of what she said about first do no harm so no wonder they are incompatible.

It’s just so absurd in the context of the show. They do all kinds of crazy, illegal shit, so this barely registers for me. I know it’s a big deal in real life, but it’s just laughable that he quit over it.

The rest of the rogue hospital staff: "Your first time?" (or "New here?", either one would work.)
Here’s my problem with Owen giving vets suicide drugs…..
Many seasons ago, Teddy had a patient who had fulfilled WA’s right to die act and he was so adamantly against it that he was an asshole. I can’t remember if he finally signed off on it as they needed 2 physicians to do so. Mark Sloan later signed off on it. So after all this, Owen is now totally on board with this?
WA has a right to die act, so how is this illegal?
