When to follow-up (internal job opening)

I applied for an internal position on 5/13, and have interviewed with a recruiter, hiring manager, and two team members. The last interview (with the team) was on 6/3, and I haven’t heard anything since. I work with the hiring manager regularly and have a standard check-in call with her tomorrow afternoon. When I interviewed with her she told me to check with the primary recruiter if I have questions, but I’ve never actually spoken to that person. I really want this job and if I don’t get it will likely be looking externally. Would you follow up with the recruiter today or wait until after the check in tomorrow to see if any updates are shared?

I'd follow up with the recruiter today, since the hiring manager recommended that you contact teh recruiter. You can let the hiring manager know tomorrow that you reached out to the recruiter for an update, since you hadn't heard anything.

It's been a month, so I don't think this is overly aggressive.
