They won in a very controversial call. The refs ruled simultaneous possession when clearly Jennings had the ball but by the time everyone on the ground got up Tate had the ball so they said it was a touchdown instead of an interception. The last 8 seconds were such a cluster fuck.
The real ones are on strike because they asked for a raise. A GB player posted Goodells phone number on FB I can just imagine the things he is going to hear today.
The call was controversial, but I do not want to hear about an "astrick by their name" again. Just because this call was at the end of the game does not mean it is the only call that decided a game.

THANK YOU.
Sounders, you are wrong. The whole game had lots of calls that didn't make sense (or lack of calls sometimes) - there was a bad call against us that allowed the Packers to get a touchdown, so you know, it really did go both ways. And not to mention, the replays are actually decided by real refs (which no one talks about).
Also, I'd like someone to say with full confidence that if it had been the other way around, the whole country would be outraged. No, they wouldn't. We get no respect as a football team and everyone on ML is proof of that. What's truly sad is that no one is going to talk about how AWESOME we did play and that we kept the Packers to 12 FREAKING POINTS. I don't even care how that last call was decided because in the end, it's about how unfair we get treated and I KNOW that it would hardly get talked about if it was the other way around.
I didn't see the touchdown they scored or the replays because I had left the room for a couple minutes. When I got back thy had scored so I didn't want to comment on that since I didn't know what happened. But I agree the whole game was poorly officiated.
One of my FB friends posted that they were used to bad officiating in the mls but not the nfl.
no, it's true, and it makes me really sad. Honestly, if we'd lost, we'd probably get more attention for the sacks and good defense because at least people would talk about the game!

:::slow clap::: :Y: If the Packers wanted to win they should have scored more than 12 pts and their offensive line should have protected Rogers better (8 freaking sacks!). Our defensive players are some BAMFs ;D That is what won us the game.
And two points I want to throw out there:
It goes by the rules that if the last play is simultaneous possession the call goes to the offensive team. That Packer was a dumbshit and should have just tossed the ball to the ground and NO ONE have possession. It doesn't matter if he had more hands on the ball or caught it in the air, that is the rule!
And with Hail Mary plays, pass interference RARELY gets called. That's life in the NFL.
The refs absolutely suck and we need real ones. But, I do hate that we can't even enjoy the win and that Seattle never gets any respect. Although, I gotta say, even my Seattle peeps are filling my fb about how it was undserved.
The game was stressful to watch and I hate that all the country is talking about is how Seattle didn't deserve the win. There wasn't this kind of uproar over our Super Bowl loss.
ditto on both accounts. It's not fair that we can't even be happy and that even Seattle people are bandwaggoning on the idea we didn't deserve it. Common people! This isn't a scientific process and there are ALWAYS things that are a little strange. It will always happen because people are involved and it's not mathematical or whatever.
and like I said, I can guarantee that if it was GB that was in our position, there would not be this kind of outrage. That is what makes me sad/angry.

I will admit I'm not sure Seattle deserved that win. I'm not sure the Packers deserved it either. The officiating was SO awful (probably the worst of any NFL game) that it is impossible to say who "should have" won. There were definitely other missed calls earlier in the game that were in the Packers' favor (and allowed them to continue a run to score a TD rather than a field goal) but that final play seemed to be a pretty blatant interception. So while it feels good to have a W for the Seahawks I'm not sure it feels earned.
