A watched it yesterday. I half watched half of it. It didn't really capture us - maybe I need to try again.
Matilda the Musical though - we've watched that twice and the songs are being sung on repeat. L was in a production of it 2 years ago, and we've loved it since.

We saw it in theaters. It was fine and fits in with this new crop of Disney movies - Turning Red, Lightyear, Luca, etc. but I still prefer the movies with music (Moana, Encanto)

We watched this yesterday as well, and my kid LOOOOOVES it, to the point that he requested the music be played as he fell asleep and asked to watch it tonight on the way to daycare today. It was unexpectedly hard on me, though, in navigating Matilda's adoption by Ms. Honey. I wasn't prepared for the adoption questions DS brought up. He's just now starting to ask/figure out his world through the lens of adoption.

If y’all liked Matilda, check out your local/regional theater. This is a popular show for smaller houses, and it’s really fun on stage (and always good to support live theater!).

I bought tickets for my daughter, mom, and MIL to see Matilda when it was touring in the area years ago. None of us had heard the music (which I never do when I go to see a musical), but Matilda was one of my daughter's favorite books. We LOVED the musical so much! It was a great time! I was sad my husband didn't get to see it too so when I knew it was coming to Netflix I was so excited! We had a movie night and everyone loved it. My 8 yo started watching it randomly on the 26th because he liked it so much.
We watched Strange World last night and everyone enjoyed it. We all agreed that everyone should have a Legend and a Splat.
