I bought tye die crocs to keep at the beach. Who am I?!?
My kid has the tie dye crocs that are bright aqua, yellow, and pink. He gets SO MANY compliments on them. Granted, he’s 8, but Crocs are once again popular with the younger set. Meanwhile, I kind of never stopped wearing them. Obviously not when I’m trying to be fashionable, but very often when I’m trying to be comfortable.
I went with a friend to a nearby fancy hotel to see her friend sing/play his guitar in the restaurant/lounge. The cocktails were fantastic and the music was great. So fun! We stayed for about two hours and then I came home to do a 10:30 pm countdown with the kids. H and I hung out on the couch afterward and didn’t realize it was midnight until 11:59. We couldn’t get a countdown up in time so we did one ourselves.
Today my mom made a delicious breakfast and we hung out there for awhile. Now I’m taking down Christmas, and H is in a giant crabby mood. Dude. I am the one working my ass off while you nap. Why do YOU get to be crabby?!
I cannot wait for the kids to go back to school. The device addiction is real, and my energy to fight it is waning.

I’ve thought for a while it might be nice to have a pair to slip on quickly when I need to run outside. Flip flops don’t work if you have socks on! And I figured if I’m buying ugly shoes they should be tie dye. Lol
We went to a Crocs outlet though and I could not believe how pricey even the clearance ones are. And I was going to treat my kid to some jibbitz for his pair he already has but saw the price and was like “nope—I’ll order you fake ones from Amazon”

I need to rewatch Maverick. Me and H had a date night to see it in the movies and treated ourselves to the Luxe level. Well, H convinced me to take an edible beforehand so I don’t even remember the movie lol. I just remember ordering ridiculous amounts of snacks through the ordering app. H was like, did you order MORE stuff?! Shut up and hand me my popcorn, m&m’s and vodka soda!
jinkies does she mean her daughter is using a surrogate who happens to be her daughter's friend?
No. She's just odd LOL. She did also talk about how she hopes her kids will be able to get pregnant when they are ready, so definitely not a surrogate situation.

We are watching Wednesday as a family.
My 7-year old loves spooky stuff and is thoroughly into it. He just announced “Wednesday is just basically the girl version of me except she has bigger talents than me and she doesn’t play video games.”
I am watching Everything Everywhere All At Once. This movie is fucking bizarre. I have multiple friends who really liked it, but I'm honestly considering quitting. I'm like 50 minutes in. Does this strangeness get better? Maybe sci-fi just isn't my jam...

Busy, productive day today. Costco run, Aldi run, H and I stopped at a friend’s New Year’s Day party, where I chatted with a delightful 17 year old, H and I cooked for the freezer and are pretty set for the next week or two.
Athleta is letting people stack the 20% off clearance and the code 30off for another 30%. I just got pajamas, shorts and a sleep bra for $30.
Darn, I missed this last night and it's ended now! I need some new sports bras too. I had put 3 in my cart to try...does anyone know if any of their sports bras DON'T have removable padding??? The descriptions don't say, but some of the reviews make it sound like they mostly do. At this age, I refuse to deal with removable padding, but I need my bras to be at least somewhat lined/padded, so I can't just take the padding out either. I'd buy them for just 20% off if I knew they wouldn't just be going directly back to the store if they had removable pads.
