Since I don't have a colonoscopy plans and I'm out of shows I thought I'd get some ideas!
Family shows, now that Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, Wednesday and the Umbrella Academy are finished we need to find something new.
DH and I just finished Dead to Me and also need something new. Never were able to get into Ozark and Yellowstone. I'd love something like Mare of Easttown or Beartown.
My fluff/guilt pleasure/solo watching shows have also been depleted. Three Pines is pretty good. I liked Fleischman is in Trouble. I wish there was another one like Candy. I watched all of Sweet Magnolias and Virgin River and want more seasons more than I hate myself for watching. LOL
Holy moly, I had NO idea they had a show based on the Chief Inspector Gamache books. I am so excited you mentioned this because I now know what I'm doing tonight!

I can't remember who, but someone else here mentioned it last week!
“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
Kaleidescope on Netflix is good. The concept is also cool that it's 8 episodes that can be watched in any order and when you watch, you get shown them in a random order, but it always ends with White. Or is supposed to if you make up your own order.

I just started Fleishman is in Trouble and I’m hooked.
Other shows we’ve enjoyed recently are White Lotus, Sex Education, Big Mouth, Sex Lives of College Girls, Hacks, Succession and Abbott Elementary. Also Only Murders in the Building.
A lot of people seem to like Wednesday but the first episode didn’t really do it for me.
The last 3 series I watched and loved were Three Pines, Fleishman is in Trouble, and White Lotus.
We're 3 episodes into Yellowjackets and I really like it so far - it has great actors (Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey). And if you were a teenage girl in the late 90s there is a good nostalgia factor.
We just finished White Lotus, and The Morning Show.
Now we are watching the most recent season of American Horror Story and the current season Alice in Borderland. I'm guessing from what you mentioned neither of these two are good suggestions for you.
Have you watched Ghosts? That's our other kind of fill in show when we have an extra half an hour, and it's pretty light and funny.
Other old timey stuff that makes me LOL: Arrested Development. That I know is on Netflix (I don't live in the USA so have next to no concept of what platform carries what). I've decided to rewatch it every few years it is just THAT good (and a super amazing time capsule of that period of time).

I liked Yellowjackets so much more than I expected to! I got two other friends to watch it that felt the same way.

We keep forgetting about Ghosts! We watched a couple of episodes and liked it. I would like to watch American Horror Story, but I watched a few episodes alone and actually had nightmares. I didn't expect that. LOL I should try again with my husband. I'll look up Alice in Borderland. Like my taste in music, my shows are all over the place!
How about old stuff? If you can get your hands on Party Down it's amazing.
Do you know where this might be streaming? I watched it on DVD back when Netflix was mailing them out (LOL), but I’d love to rewatch. I remember really liking it.
Yellowjackets sounds great. I love Juliette Lewis. We don't have Showtime, but those shows usually get released on DVD and I can get them from the library. Or maybe we'll subscribe for a while because I think there's at least one season of Billions I haven't watched. Although that show started to seem like the exact same story over and over again so I don't know if I want to go back to it. I still can't believe this about myself, but I've never watched Arrested Development and I absolutely love Jason Bateman and always have. And probably everyone else in the show.
We were so hooked on Succession! I just looked and the 4th season should come out in the Spring.

Alice in Borderland is good if you liked Squid Game - vaguely similar premise, but the overall plot is a lot different.

I do not, sorry! I watched them on a plane. I love being the insane person cackling to myself in public.
dochas I super want to see Yellowjackets! Sounds right up my alley.

Thank you for suggesting this. I adore this show. It's just fun. And the episode where Hetty possesses Jay and also where she discovers the washing machine make me laugh every time I've watched them (quite a few at this point). Also love the first Alberta podcast episode.
If you liked Mare of Easttown, you might like Inside Man with Stanley Tucci and David Tennant. A similar and quirky crime drama. I think it's on Netflix.

DH and I watched Yellow jackets on a free preview weekend. I loved all the 90s stuff. I don't know that I'd call it scary, but it's dark in a lot of places, and some really gorey scenes. Maybe a few that make you jump, so I guess don't watch it if you normally go light and fluffy. D H said it's basically Lord of the Flies (I somehow never read that.)
DH and I also watched both seasons of The Wilds on Amazon Prime. It was after Yellow Jackets for us so it felt a little repeat (stranded on an island). I won't give anything away and I'm on my phone so I don't know how to avoid spoilers, but if there is a season 3 I'm not sure I'll watch. Not sure I felt satisfied after all that.
I plan to start Fleischman tonight. Claire Danes is my spirit animal <3

Murders in the Building (Hulu) is good. We're about half way through S2. DH likes 1 better, and I like 2 better so far.
Another vote for Abbott, it lives up to the hype, and it's quick. Call Me Kat (Fox) also.
I enjoyed the first half of Alaska Daily, and am curious to see where they go after they return from break. Don't flame me for this, but I don't love Hillary Swank's character as much as the others, and I like HS. Maybe she's underutilized, or is doing a good job in that I'm the best at my job role?
