I think this is going to be my last week for meal kits.
I had an epiphany that I cook meals based one what I think my family might eat. It's not what I would make for myself, and half the time they don't eat it anyway.
So I'm going to try making the meals that I want and see what happens.
Sunday: chicken and steak fajitas Monday: I was supposed to be going to our brewery for a mug club event so I had not planned anything, but DS is sick, so I'll have to scrounge something up. Maybe I'll just have turkey clubs tonight. Tuesday: Skinnytaste chicken parm Wednesday: Emily Bites cheesy chili mac Thursday: Skinnytaste fish florentine

I think I've said this before, but I'll say it again in case anyone needs to feel better about herself.
My children eat a steady rotation of chicken nuggets, turkey dogs, PB&J, pasta, and tacos. The little one eats pizza and salmon, so sub in one of those for her once a week, but that's it. I used to worry about it or be embarrassed, but I'm over it. They eat plenty of fruit and vegetables as sides, drink milk and/or eat tons of cheese, so I just roll with it.
My H and I have tacos one night, kielbasa/rice/veg one night, and takeout one night. The other nights, we might to pasta, salads, soup (from a can!!), sandwiches, crock pot chicken fiesta, breakfast for dinner (which the kids will also eat), etc. We manage to feed ourselves, but we hate cooking and aren't foodies. Meal planning has never been necessary since we largely buy and eat the same stuff from week to week. I guess you could say we did meal plan for a week at one point and we've used that same plan for years on end.
I made chicken noodle soup for the freezer yesterday and omg I am never not making homemade noodles again. They were so easy and turned out delicious.

Oh, just so it's very clear-- my child should never be counted in my meal plans. Everything I make is "disgusting" and he'll take a frozen blueberry waffle and a pouch so that he can use hunger as a stalling tactic at bedtime.

I literally have no idea and I can’t focus enough to try and come up with a meal plan. I’ll probably just grab stuff from the freezer and see what I can come up with.
