Well my kids will refuse to eat red grapes so there is three votes for them right there lol. I also prefer green grapes to be honest. They just taste more refreshing to me.
Funny you should ask. I always think I like green grapes better, but red are reliably sweeter. I think I don't like red as much because they often have seeds even when marked seedless, which drives me nuts. The seeds are so bitter, they ruin the whole grape for me. I usually buy red anyway though because the green are often too sour.
However, I still remember the best grapes I've ever had that were so deliciously sweet and flavorful, not just sugary, they were SOOOOOO good. They were green. (and no, they weren't some special variety like the cotton candy ones which I don't like).
ETA: recently the red grapes from Costco have been the best. No seeds, firm and crunchy and sweet. So much better than our local grocery store.
Green are the only acceptable grapes. Red always taste funny to me. It's been too long since I've had one for me to be able to quantify it better than "funny".
This is blowing my mind. I have a strong preference for red, and I learned over the weekend that my H and two children all prefer green. I was sure they were in the minority.
Since it's early, I should note, we're tied at 13 (green) vs. 14 (red) - plus 2 no preference - as I write.

Dumb story alert--
We always ate green at home. School always only had red. I remember going to a friend's house one time and they had red grapes and it blew my mind. I thought only schools were allowed to have red grapes???
I like green for the crunch but I tend to like red for the flavor. I absolutely hate seeds though, so I tend to buy green more often because I find they are more reliably seed free.
Costco has some black sable grapes that are amazing.
I think red are reliably better from the grocery store & since we largely eat grapes w cheese, they look nicer too. I’ve had some amazing green ones though.
When I had grape money, which ever was crisper. If both were good, green. Now that grapes cost the same amount as a mortgage payment, we skip the sugar globes.

I love the red grapes. I can’t eat them anymore because they make my GI system do wild things (same with cherries). I carved them intensely when I was pregnant.
